It was the busiest week of the summer for me in clinic last week with even having to open some extra hours up to accommodate people 🥵

As well as a busy week in clinic, I even managed to introduce a friend to where my career in sport all began by going to watch Blyth Spartans beat Morpeth in the F.A Cup and then watching the Newcastle United game and the King Kevin Keegan tribute ⚽️

Time to get down to my availability for next week:

✅️ Saturday 28th: 9.30am, 10.45am, 12pm

📍 All appointments are priced at £40 for 60 mins and are based at The Parks Sports Centre in North Shields.

I am on a medical course Tuesday and Wednesday but if you don't see a time that is suitable for you, drop me a message.

🌟🌟 Client Spotlight 🌟🌟

I have had the privilege of helping former NBA and current Barcelona player, Tos with some soft tissue work whilst he is back in Newcastle during the off-season and in preparation for his first Great Britain Camp as a senior 🏀

Very grateful to be working with such high profile athletes who take their recovery seriously.

On a personal note, we got to see baby Wark this weekend in 4D for the first time thanks to the staff at Numi Scan Newcastle 👶🏻

🏃‍♂️ One. Month. To. Go. 🏃‍♀️

This is not a drill 😂

You heard that right... There is only one month to go until the Great North Run.

It has been great working with so many runners training for this year's GNR so far keep them on their feet with either their recovery or little niggles which have been effecting their training.

🗓 Appointments are booking up for the GNR week already, so make sure you get your Great North Rub booked ASAP to avoid any disappointment come run time

After a busy 4 day working week, I was not only a guest but I also became chief wedding car decorator, chauffeur, dress steamer, cake delivery driver and many other miscellaneous tasks over the weekend at the beautiful Briggs' wedding 👰‍♀👰‍♀🤍

My story so far...

A couple of weeks back marked 9 years since I graduated for University 🎓

At this time I was already working within sports having done placements with Newcastle Falcons and Blyth Spartans as well as running a sports massage clinic during the holidays.

Let me take you back a bit... I will be the first one to say I was not gifted at school. I came out of school with OK grades and had a shadowing week with a physiotherapist. During my time shadowing, I got told that if I am not an A* student then I will get nowhere in this industry and should just be a labourer instead.

So after leaving school, I really didn't know which direction I wanted to go. I went on a gym instructors course to start my career in health and fitness as well as having a couple of desk job which was not my cup of tea at all.

After discussions with my family, I had options to go to University to study physiotherapy or sports therapy. I chose sports therapy. Surprisingly, I got into uni! Again, it did not come easy during my time at uni with personal problems and the stress of the workload but I knew I had to put the work in to succeed.

Since graduating uni, I continued working with Blyth Spartans as well as the Northumberland FA team and then SMART came along. Running a business with no idea how to run a business is bloody hard 😂

Since then, I have worked with Gateshead FC seeing them lift a trophy at Wembley and have worked with the Newcastle Eagles where I have travelled domestically and around Europe helping them lift silverware too.

I have worked with some amazing people and clubs in some amazing places during these 9 years and even made it onto football manager 😂

Now I have built SMART into a successful business treating new and regular clients on a daily basis...

Not bad for someone who will get nowhere in this industry, eh?

Well that was a very busy week both in clinic and at Gateshead FC 😴

After preparing the lads during the week, yesterday welcomed the arrival of Eddie Howe's Newcastle United where I was working pitchside ⚫️⚪️

This is the third time I have worked pitchside against Newcastle United and for a boyhood Newcastle United fan, it is always a dream come true. This was made even more special by celebrating the life of Newcastle United club legend Kevin Keegan who sadly passed away this week.
