Such a familiar tale. In school, neurodivergent girls can become masters of keeping a lid on their bubbling emotions - sitting under the radar so they others don’t notice how much they’re struggling.
They may have to work extra hard to manage this whilst keeping up with classroom instructions, aiming for perfection in their work and navigating the complexities of social relationships.
They may have to deal with sensory preferences and sensitivities. The scratchy logo on the school t-shirt, the blazer that feels hot and bulky, the clumpy shoes.
Hard work 😓

Discover how autism presents in women and girls. Learn about masking, late diagnosis, and how to provide tailored, neuro-affirming support.

Join RISE - Mental Heath Support Team to find out more about the changes in the teenage brain. As young people go through puberty their brains are flooded with hormones which starts an entire 'remodel' in terms of neural connections, neural pathways and brain structure.

This non-judgemental workshop will look at what is happening in your child's brain as it develops and how as parents and carers we can understand and best support them through this massive change.

Multiple locations and dates are available. Book tickets and find out more, here: https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/read-to-the-beat-4839078

Join the brilliant Catherine if your child could do with a boost with their education.
She’s extremely knowledgeable and kids love her!

I promise I'm not trying to wish the summer away, but...☀️

One minute you're buying sun cream... the next you're shopping for school shoes. 😅 September has a habit of creeping up on us!

With the new school year approaching, my Learning Hubs and 1:1 tuition are now almost full, but I do still have a handful of spaces available.

✨ Current Whitley Bay Availability:

🦉 Tuesday | 4:00–5:00pm
KS1 Learning Hub (1 space remaining)
Perfect for children in Year 1 or Year 2 who would benefit from extra support with:
• Phonics
• Early reading
• Writing
• Number and maths foundations

Small group (Max 4) teaching means children receive personalised support while building confidence alongside their peers.

📚 Wednesday | 6:30–7:30pm
1:1 Tuition (1 slot available)
Ideal for children who would benefit from highly personalised teaching, whether they need to close gaps, build confidence or require support tailored to their individual needs.

🏡 Thursday | 10:00am–12:00pm
KS2 Home Education Learning Hub (3 spaces available)

🏡 Thursday | 1:30pm–3:30pm
KS1 Home Education Learning Hub (2 spaces available)

Our Home Education Hubs provide a calm, engaging learning environment where children learn through hands-on activities, movement and high-quality teaching across English and maths.

Every session is designed to help children feel successful, capable and confident, not just improve academically.

If you're thinking about additional support this September, I'd recommend getting in touch soon, as these are the final spaces available.

📩 Send me a message to find out more or reserve a place.
