Hi beautiful people... Following many requests and questions in regards to holiday dialysis sessions in our Unit in the last months, I have noticed the struggle for many of dialysis patients unable to afford to pay for their private /non funded holiday dialysis. Despite the fact that the service is free in any NHS hospital, there are no places, not enough to accommodate so many requests mainly in seasonal months.
Please share your experience of booking holiday dialysis in Norfolk or across the country. Does any of renal charities helps you with your holiday dialysis, if yes please share it here.
Someone suggested to claim money back for your private holiday dialysis from NHS England through Individual fund request form, proving that there are no available spaces in NHS units, form needs to be filled in by your renal doctor.

Please let me know what you think about this, any ideas and suggestions that may help with funding, please share it here, that little help can add up to our efforts in this matter.
