🎤🎶 What a fantastic afternoon of music and laughter with the wonderful Peter and Gerry! 🎶🎤
We all had an amazing time singing along to all our favourite songs. As soon as Sweet Caroline started, there were arms waving high in the air, and everyone joining in with a loud chorus of “Ba, ba, ba!” 💙
The fun didn’t stop there, we were up on our feet for the Hokey Cokey, singing, laughing, and enjoying every moment together. It’s always wonderful to see how music brings people together, creating happy memories and plenty of smiles.

A huge thank you to Peter and Gerry for another brilliant afternoon of entertainment. We can’t wait to welcome you back next week! 🎵❤️

Today we celebrated Friendship Day by recognising the wonderful friendships that brighten each day. 💙

Our residents got creative by making beautiful friendship bracelets and colouring in friendship notes to give to their friends around the home. It was great to see so many smiles as kind words and thoughtful gifts were shared.

Friendship means so much at Cheaney Court – whether it’s sharing a laugh over a cup of tea, supporting one another, or simply enjoying each other’s company. Today was a wonderful reminder that the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference.

Happy Friendship Day to all our amazing residents, families, friends and staff who make Cheaney Court such a warm and caring community. 🥰

This morning two of our residents enjoyed a lovely visit to St Giles Church for their Communion service.

The service was peaceful and uplifting, with beautiful hymns, prayers and a wonderful sense of community. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a delicious cup of tea and cake while chatting and catching up with familiar faces.

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone at St Giles Church for making us feel so welcome. Your kindness, friendship and hospitality mean so much to our residents, and we always look forward to visiting.

It was a truly lovely morning spent in great company. 💙

🎯 Bullseyes, big smiles, and lots of laughter today at Cheaney Court! 🎯

Our residents enjoyed a game of magnetic darts, putting their aim and coordination to the test in a fun and safe way. There was lots of cheering and plenty of celebrating!

Activities like this are a wonderful way to encourage movement, improve hand-eye coordination, and, most importantly, bring everyone together for a great time. It was lovely to see so many smiles and hear so much laughter filling the room.

Well done to everyone who took part—you were all champions today! 🎉💙

🌸 A Blooming Lovely Activity! 🌸

Using vase templates, residents arranged their freshly picked flowers to create their own unique floral masterpieces. Each picture was completely different, reflecting everyone’s creativity and personal style. It was lovely to see the smiles as the colourful blooms were transformed into beautiful pieces of artwork.

We think the finished creations are absolutely gorgeous – well done to everyone who took part! 🌼💐🌿

🤠 Cheaney Goes Country! 🤠

Today at Cheaney Court we celebrated National Cowboy Day, and what a fantastic day it was for our residents, relatives, and staff! 🤠🎶

We were delighted to be joined by the wonderful Ellie, who entertained everyone with a fantastic selection of classic country favourites alongside some modern hits. There was plenty of singing, clapping, dancing and smiling as everyone embraced the country spirit.

A big thank you also goes to Dorinda from our housekeeping team, with her brilliant line dancing! 💃🤠 Her enthusiasm had everyone smiling and added even more fun to an already fantastic afternoon.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. Days like these create wonderful memories and remind us what being part of the Cheaney Court family is all about. 💕

Today was a truly special day at Cheaney Court.

In loving memory of our late resident, Gemma, whose kindness, wit, and love of animals touched everyone who knew her, we were honoured to receive a generous donation from her family. Gemma was such an inspiration to us all, a beautiful lady whose warmth, humour, and compassionate nature will never be forgotten.

Thanks to their generosity, we welcomed back the wonderful miniature donkeys, Pepper and Fern. With the sun shining, there were smiles all around as residents, staff, and Gemma’s family enjoyed a lovely afternoon together. We shared delicious cakes, wonderful company, and created some very special memories in Gemma’s honour.

A heartfelt thank you to Gemma’s family for your generosity and for spending the afternoon with us. It was so lovely to have you here to celebrate Gemma’s life and the joy she brought to so many. Please know that you are always welcome at Cheaney Court. Our doors are always open.

Gemma will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we are so grateful to have shared such a beautiful afternoon remembering an extraordinary lady. 💕🐴☀️🧁

🦋 Big Butterfly Count at Cheaney Court 🦋

Today our residents took part in the Big Butterfly Count, enjoying a gentle stroll around our gardens and car park in search of beautiful butterflies. Although we didn’t spot as many butterflies as we had hoped, we were treated to some stunning flowers in full bloom, which everyone loved stopping to admire.

Of course, no walk near the apple trees would be complete without a little bit of friendly scrumping! 🍎 It certainly brought plenty of smiles and laughter along the way.

Back indoors, our creativity continued as residents coloured and made their very own beautiful butterflies, each one as unique and colourful as the next. It was a lovely day spent enjoying nature, fresh air, good company, and making happy memories together.

Sometimes it’s not just about what you find—it’s about enjoying the journey together. 💚🦋

This morning we were delighted to welcome St Giles Church for our monthly church service.
Residents enjoyed a lovely morning of singing hymns, saying prayers, and sharing fellowship together.
We also spent time discussing the parable of the Lost Sheep, reflecting on its message of love, care, and the importance of every individual.
It was wonderful to see everyone joining in, singing along, and taking part. The service brought comfort and joy to our residents, and it was enjoyed by all.
A big thank you to everyone from St Giles Church for taking the time to visit us and lead such a lovely service. We always look forward to your visits and the warmth and encouragement you bring to us all. 💕💕💕
