Shingles isn’t just a rash — it can cause long-lasting nerve pain and serious discomfort, especially as we get older. The good news is that vaccination can significantly reduce your risk 💉

Who is eligible for the shingles vaccine in the UK?
✔️ Adults aged 70 to 79
✔️ People who turn 65 on or after 1 September 2023 (new programme rollout)
✔️ Adults aged 50 and over with a severely weakened immune system

The vaccine is free on the NHS for those who are eligible and is usually given at your GP surgery.

If you or a loved one fall into these groups, it’s worth checking in with your GP to get protected. Prevention is always better than dealing with the pain later.

RSV protection isn’t just for babies — it matters later in life too 💙

As we get older, infections like RSV can become more serious.

For adults aged 75 and over, the RSV vaccine helps protect against complications such as pneumonia and severe respiratory illness.

✨ Why consider the RSV vaccine?
• Reduces your risk of serious illness from RSV
• Helps prevent hospitalisation
• Protects your independence and overall health

RSV can feel like a common cold at first—but in older adults it can quickly become much more severe.

If you’re eligible, your vaccine is free. Speak to your GP practice to book your appointment.

Protect yourself. Stay well.
