After a little bit of time away over the summer, we’re back into the swing of things at Broad Horizons… and thinking about what comes next.
Whilst we were away, we spent time at one of our favourite places, The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
Every year we follow the same paths and visit the same places. This time, a blocked path meant we had to take a different route (which sounds much better than admitting I got a little lost with the children in tow!).
That little detour led us to this amazing fox sculpture that we’d never seen before 🦊👇
It reminded me that sometimes the unexpected paths take us to things we wouldn’t have found otherwise.
It got me thinking about how often we stick to the paths we know because they feel familiar. But sometimes, when we’re forced or maybe are brave enough to take a different direction, we discover something we wouldn’t have discovered otherwise.
That has stayed with me as we come back to Broad Horizons on our search for a key role for the organisation.
Over the last few years, we’ve grown in ways we couldn’t have predicted. We’ve taken some different paths, tried new things and built something we’re really proud of.
Now we’re looking for someone to join us as our new Therapeutic Lead.
Someone who understands therapeutic approaches, trauma-informed practice and the work we do, but who also enjoys supporting therapists, developing teams and helping shape what comes next.
Someone who is comfortable not always taking the obvious path and who wants to be part of building something meaningful.
If you, or someone you know, might be the right fit for Broad Horizons, we’d love to hear from you.
Please share if someone comes to mind 💙
