Rafik from the Lion King has long been a character I like to borrow traits from. I especially love the musical theatre version of her. She shows profound wisdom, playful eccentricity, and deep spiritual connection. As a therapist sometimes I like to channel my inner Rafiki and I will often encourage clients young and old to explore her qualities.
There was once an occasion when I fully took on the role of Rafiki and I genuinely felt her power!
