September is Recovery Month, and we've got lots planned to celebrate it! With various events for those in recovery, those who have loved ones in recovery, and external agencies and professionals who work alongside us, there'll be something for everyone.

For professionals and agencies, we're inviting you into our Gold Street hub to find out more about what we do, how you can refer to us and how we can work together.

These tours will take place on Monday 7th September, and Monday 21st September from 11:00am until 12:00pm on both days.

We had a fantastic day last Friday down at Northampton Hope Centre and at our Gold Street hub talking to rough sleepers and those in recovery about overdose awareness, how to prevent overdoses and what to do if someone does overdose.

Tomorrow, we'll be doing the same again at our Spring House hub, which will be open to the public, so why not come on down to see us and find out more!

Congratulations to our very own Sian Warr who won an Inspired by Possibility award for Peer Mentors and Volunteers from Turning Point this week!

Sian has been volunteering with our partners at Bridge Substance Misuse Programme since February 2025, and has made a massive impact on their members in helping them gain confidence and independence and leading on different activities across the service such as our Poetry group!

As of this week, Sian is now a full time member of staff at Inspire, so this recognition from her peers and the wider partnership couldn't have come at a better time.

It's almost September, and that means we're getting closer and closer to Recovery Month!

We're going to be hosting various events throughout the month, and our first one is on Thursday 10th September!

From 10am until 2pm, we'll be in Beckets Park, with a wide range of recovery activities, including but not limited to:

🕺 Zumba
🎤 Singing
💿 Desert Island Discs
🧘‍♀️ Yoga
🥪 Picnic
⚾️ Rounders
📖Poetry

If you're joining us, please bring your own drinks. If you'd like to take part in the picnic, places cost £2 per person for food. Speak to your recovery worker to book your spot.

Next Monday (31st August) is International Overdose Awareness Day. To mark the day on Tuesday 1 September, we're opening our doors at Spring House to the public.

Come along and visit us to find out more about how you can help prevent overdoses with naloxone and other harm reduction information.

We'll also have the chance for you to share your stories of any loved ones who have experienced an overdose with our Messages and Memories display.

Last week we hosted a fantastic Pamper day at our Gold Street hub! Attendees were offered a range of treatments including face masks, henna tattoos, hand massages, reiki, acupuncture/meditation, yoga and a chance to relax with our virtual reality console!

All that attended were entered into a draw to win a VIP treatment. The four lucky winners enjoyed a special VIP private session which included an aromatherapy facial, guided meditation and a foot spa, hosted by one of our talented Volunteers.

The day was successful, relaxing and enjoyed by everyone! Keep your eyes peeled for more upcoming events at Gold Street!

Our partner, , turns 25 this year!

To celebrate, they're putting together an anthology booklet of poetry, writing and illustrations created by the people we support. Once finished, the booklet will go on public sale in October, and any money made will help to fund a Framework Activities Worker. All contributors will receive a free copy.

If you're a writer, poet or artist and have a piece you'd like to submit for this collection, speak to your Recovery Worker today for more information!

All pieces must fit onto an A4 piece of paper, and must be submitted by Friday 4th September.
