That's what I tell myself.

The task is small. I know how to do it. It won't take long.

Yet I spend hours thinking about starting it.

Then suddenly it's 2am...

And my brain decides now is the perfect time to focus.

If you have ADHD, you might know exactly how this feels.

You're listening.
You're interested.
You want to hear what the other person is saying.

But a thought pops into your head and suddenly it feels like an ice cube melting in your hand.

If you don't say it now, it might disappear completely.

That's why some people with ADHD interrupt conversations.

It's often not about being rude or self-centred.

It's about trying not to lose a thought before it's gone.
