Lostock Lodge Care Home is conveniently located close to the town of Northwich and the M6. The care team is on hand to provide person-centred residential and dementia care either long-term or for short-term respite stays. The purpose-built care home features a private dining room, garden room, cinema and garden. The catering team provides daily home-cooked meals catering to all dietary requirements.

This afternoon our Residents had a lovely trip to Great Budworth Ice Cream farm today 🍦where we enjoyed some delicious ice cream and spent time meeting the friendly farm animals🫏. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and lovely conversations as we took in some fresh air and the beautiful surroundings.

Trips like these create special memories and are a great opportunity to enjoy the simple pleasures together 🥰

This afternoon we were invited to a wonderful Tea Dance organised by the fantastic team at Home Instead 💚

Our Residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon filled with delicious tea 🫖 , tasty sandwiches 🥪, scrumptious cake 🍰, and fantastic live music by the brilliant Lostock Ukes - Northwich. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and even a few dances as everyone sang along to some well-loved tunes. 💃🏼🎤🎵

It was a wonderful opportunity to socialise, reminisce, and make more happy memories together. A big thank you to everyone who helped make the afternoon so special ❤️

This afternoon we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating two very special residents as they both turn an incredible 90 years young! 🥳

Lainey provided the perfect playlist for our celebrations, singing the afternoon away to some party classics .🎤

Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming our wonderful four-legged friend, Shadow, for a visit! 🐶❤️🐾

Shadow brought so many smiles, laughter, and happy moments to our residents. From gentle cuddles to wagging tails, it was clear that everyone enjoyed spending time together.

Visits like these brighten our day, encourage conversation, spark happy memories, and bring comfort and companionship to our residents. Thank you, Shadow and Judy, for spreading so much joy—we can’t wait to see you again! 🐾💕

What a fantastic way to cool down in the hot weather! ☀️💦 🌈

Today our residents enjoyed a fun-filled wheelchair wash, complete with plenty of splashes, laughter, and smiles all around. We turned up the 60s music, sang along to some old favourites, and finished the morning with delicious choc ices to keep everyone refreshed. 🎶🍦

It was wonderful to see everyone having so much fun, making memories, and enjoying the sunshine together. Days like these remind us that a little creativity and a lot of laughter go a long way! ❤️

Happy Father’s Day 💙

Today, we celebrate all the wonderful fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who have shared their love, wisdom, and guidance throughout the years.

All our Gents picked their own little treat from the basket 🎁

We hope today has been filled with smiles, special moments, and visits from loved ones. Thank you to all the fathers who have made such a positive difference in the lives of their families and friends.

On Thursday we held our second ‘Moments that Matter’ Dementia support group 💙

It was lovely to see some new faces join us to share their experiences and lend a listening ear 👂

Our next group will be on Thursday 9th July at 11am in our ‘Coffee Club’ It would be lovely to see more new faces 🥰

We’ve had a busy day at Lostock Lodge today! 💖

We started the day off with some seated football and catch games ⚽️
We also spotted some squirrels 🐿️ playing in the garden so we did some squirrel spotting too 👀
We’ve then done some beach reminiscing whilst creating some colourful pictures 🎨
And then we finished the day off by using our interactive projector to ‘splat some rats’, ‘pop the bubbles’ and watch the fish 📽️

We’re now having a well earned rest ready for the fun and games to continue tomorrow! ☺️
