On Friday we had the absolute pleasure of throwing a surprise baby shower for our lovely Senior, Abbie! 🥰🍼💖

We celebrated this very special occasion with lots of sweet treats, smiles, laughter and love. 🍰🧁💕

And to make the day even more memorable, we were treated to a wonderful performance from Cowboy Geoff! 🤠🎶 There was plenty of singing, dancing and happy memories made!

A huge congratulations to Abbie — we can’t wait to your little bundle of joy🥰🍼

We are incredibly proud of our Wellbeing Coordinator Lead, Rebecca Cooper, who has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Creative Arts category at the 2027 National Activity Awards!

This morning our Residents had a fantastic time getting involved in a game of seated football! ⚽️ There were plenty of smiles, laughs and a little bit of friendly competition along the way! 😄

Seated activities like football are a brilliant way to keep everyone active while making sure the activity can be enjoyed comfortably and safely. They can help to:

⚽️ Improve coordination and movement
💪 Encourage gentle physical activity
🧠 Support concentration and focus
❤️ Promote social interaction and teamwork
😊 Boost mood and confidence
👏 Most importantly… have lots of fun!

It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, cheering each other on and enjoying some team spirit. What a great way to get moving and have fun together! ❤️

Today we had a very special celebration at Lostock Lodge as we threw a surprise baby shower for one of our wonderful resident’s daughters, who is expecting a beautiful baby girl! 🎀🍼

We were delighted to be part of such a special occasion, helping to celebrate the exciting arrival of a new little member of the family. 💕 There were lots of smiles, laughter, delicious treats and plenty of pink to make the day extra special! 🌸

It was such a lovely opportunity for our resident to share in this precious moment with both of her daughters and create some wonderful memories together. 🥰

Congratulations to the lovely mum-to-be — we can’t wait to meet your little one! 💗

Today we celebrated one of our lovely carers, Punam, as she gets ready to head off to get married! 🥂

We are so happy for her and wish her and her Husband a lifetime of love, happiness and wonderful memories together. ❤️

Happy Retirement Carole 🥂

Today we celebrated a very special member of our team as our wonderful Kitchen Assistant, Carole, is retiring 💐❤️

We couldn’t let her leave without giving her a special send-off, so we organised a surprise retirement party filled with lots of smiles, laughter, delicious treats and, of course, a few happy tears! 🎉🥳

Carole has been such a valued part of the Lostock Lodge family, and we are so grateful for all her hard work, kindness and dedication over the years 👩‍🍳💕

We will certainly miss her, but we wish her a very happy and well-deserved retirement! 🥂🌷

⭐️Employee of the Month ⭐️

Our wonderful Pat is our ‘Employee of the Month’ 💜 Pat is a long standing member of our night team and we are delighted to present her with this month’s award. We received some lovely comments from a relative who was visiting in the evening and was able to see the hard work, respect, care and kindness Pat shows to our Residents as soon as she comes on shift 💜
We are honored that Pat is one of our amazing night team! Well done for receiving such great recognition Pat!

Yesterday we were delighted to welcome back our wonderful friends, Shadow and Judy 🐶❤️

There were plenty of smiles, cuddles, and wagging tails as Shadow spent time with our residents. From gentle strokes to happy chats and lots of laughter, Shadow brought comfort, companionship, and so much joy to everyone she met.

Animal therapy is a fantastic way to promote wellbeing, encourage conversation, and create special moments, and yesterday was no exception. Thank you, Shadow and Judy for another paw-some visit – we can’t wait to see you again soon! 🐾💕

What a fantastic afternoon we had yesterday welcoming the Jukebox Band to entertain our Residents! 🎶💃🕺

There was plenty of singing, dancing, clapping along, and lots of smiling faces as everyone enjoyed a wonderful selection of classic favourites. Music has such a special way of bringing people together, and it was lovely to see so many residents joining in and making wonderful memories.

A huge thank you to The Jukebox Band for such a brilliant performance. We can’t wait to welcome you back again soon! 🎤🎵❤️

We will be joined by the fantastic Lostock Ukes, who will be fund raising for St Luke’s 💙
