Our Gents of Acorn Meadow have enjoyed joining us for our Gents Club - Pie and Pint lunch today!🩵

We have all enjoyed Pie’s, Chips and Gravy coupled with a few beers! Thank you to our kitchen team for cooking a lovely dinner🥰

Our Gents have enjoyed eating their lunch, watching football and having meaningful conversations together!☺️🩵

We have had another lovely morning at our monthly 'Dementia Coffee Morning'! We have had lots of lovely involvement from our residents, relatives and the community😊

Our coffee mornings really bring everybody together and give people opportunities to meet our staff and residents, have a walk around our beautiful home or ask any questions you may have!🧡

Thank you to everybody who came today, we can't wait for our next one and a special thank you to our kitchen team for providing us with such amazing treats!🎂🍰

Our next coffee morning will be Tuesday 1st September, 10.30am - 12pm, we hope to see you there!🩷

One of our Winnie’s favourite things to sit and do, are wordsearches!☺️

Winnie enjoyed working with our Wellbeing Coordinator Sophie, to complete word searches in Winnie’s new book!🩷

Winnie requested we took it in turns to find words and we enjoyed helping each other find the words, we have had a lovely afternoon together and Winnie expressed she enjoyed the company and working with somebody on her wordsearches✨

This morning, Our Elaine enjoyed writing a book!☺️

Elaine felt inspired to write her story when Elaine and Sophie were admiring the nature outside🌳🤍

Elaine asked Sophie to write down the story whilst Elaine explained what she would like included word for word. Elaine’s story is called ‘The Butterfly, The Bee’s and The Sugar’ and Elaine is very proud of this🥰

We then enjoyed creating the front cover for Elaine’s book, followed by completing some puzzles in our book🩷

All of our residents have been busy today and hard at work evaluating all the small details within our new refurbishment design scheme and looking through our different colour scheme choices before choosing their vote on their favourite!✨

Our resident’s have all enjoyed asking questions about our upcoming refurbishment and we are all very intrigued to learn more🤍
