This morning, Ray enjoyed some lovely one-to-one time in the garden, helping to water our beautiful flowers. 🌿🌺

It was a simple but meaningful way to enjoy the fresh air, keep active and take pride in looking after our garden together.

Our 1:1 Tools Down time is all about focusing on what each resident enjoys and creating those special everyday moments. 💛

Our residents enjoyed a lovely church service this morning, coming together for a peaceful time of worship, reflection and fellowship. 🙏

It was wonderful to hear familiar hymns being sung and to see residents enjoying a service that holds so much meaning for many of them. 🎶💐

Supporting our residents to continue their faith, traditions and personal choices is an important part of life at Leawood Manor.

🎨✨ Arts & Crafts – Let Your Imagination Run Wild! ✨🎨

It’s amazing what you can create with a piece of Jiffy roll, a splash of paint and a little imagination! 🖌️💛

Our residents enjoyed getting creative during today’s arts and crafts session, turning simple everyday materials into something wonderful.

Activities like this are a lovely way to encourage creativity, self-expression and imagination, while having plenty of fun and conversation along the way. 😊

Sometimes the simplest materials make the best masterpieces! 🎨🌟

💆‍♂️💛 A Little TLC for William! 💛💆‍♂️

Our lovely resident Mary decided that our Care Team Leader, William, deserved a little bit of pampering today and treated him to a shoulder massage! 😊

It was such a sweet moment and certainly brought plenty of smiles and laughter. It’s these spontaneous moments between our residents and team that show the wonderful relationships and friendships that develop within our home. 💕

We think William definitely enjoyed being the one looked after for a change! 😂💆‍♂️

🧠❓ Quiz Afternoon at Leawood Manor! ❓🧠

We enjoyed a brilliant quiz afternoon today, with a very special shout-out to our wonderful resident Jim, who took the time to devise and host this week’s quiz for us! 👏💙

Jim put together 21 questions covering a range of different topics, making sure there was something for everyone to get involved with. There was plenty of thinking, teamwork, friendly competition and, of course, lots of laughter along the way! 😊

We absolutely love seeing our residents taking the lead, sharing their skills and creating activities for their friends to enjoy.

🏆 A huge congratulations to our winners, “Team Grace” and Susan! Well done! 🎉👏

And a big thank you to Jim for being our fantastic quizmaster this week — what a great afternoon! 💛

💛🌿 Tools Down – Meaningful Moments in Maple 🌿💛

It’s been a lovely Tools Down morning in Maple, with residents spending quality time doing the things that are meaningful and enjoyable to them.

Len kept up with his daily exercise routine 💪, while friends enjoyed working together on a puzzle 🧩. Mildred had some relaxing therapeutic colouring 🎨, and Neil enjoyed some independent time on his iPad.

Meanwhile, Trish and Mary made the most of our beautiful garden, enjoying some fresh air and time outdoors together. 🌸☀️

Our Tools Down sessions aren’t about everyone doing the same activity — they’re about recognising each resident as an individual and supporting their own interests, routines and choices. 💙

A spot of gentle exercise in Oak Lounge this morning as our residents enjoyed a fun game of toss the beanbag!

There was plenty of concentration, encouragement and laughter as everyone took their turn and cheered each other on. 😊👏

Gentle games like this are a lovely way to keep moving while supporting coordination, mobility and social interaction — all while having lots of fun together!

A fantastic selection of pieces made here at Leawood Manor were displayed, giving our residents the opportunity to see their creativity and hard work celebrated as part of something so special.

Art is a wonderful way for our residents to express themselves, explore their creativity and take pride in what they have achieved, and we couldn’t be prouder to see their work on display. 🎨💐

We spent a lovely afternoon taking a nostalgic journey back to the 1960s, reminiscing about everything from fashion and music to classic cars and home interiors. 👗🚗🎵

It was wonderful to hear our residents sharing their own experiences and stories from the era, sparking lots of conversation, laughter and fond memories. 💭💛

Reminiscence activities like this are about so much more than looking back — they can bring joy, encourage meaningful conversation and help reinforce each resident’s personal history, memories and sense of identity.

A really special afternoon of sharing stories and getting to know one another even more. 💙
