Apparently, being the eldest sibling comes with responsibilities I wasn't quite prepared for… like being unexpectedly asked to say a few words! 🎤😂

I could have said so much more.

Because how do you put into words a day like today?

I couldn't be prouder of my youngest brother. And I honestly couldn't be prouder of all of us.

Today has been one of those days that I know I will carry in my heart forever. ❤️

I think I have cried more today than I have in months. 😂🥹

To look around and see my parents and all of my siblings together, celebrating love, family and the beginning of a beautiful new chapter… it was overwhelming in the most wonderful way.

And what made it even more special was seeing just how much we love, support and show up for one another.

No matter what.

Through everything life has thrown at us, that bond is still there.

Today didn't create that love — it simply confirmed it. ❤️

And honestly… it was beautiful.

There was laughter, tears, dancing, ridiculous amounts of happiness — and somehow I have danced my way through all of it on practically no sleep whatsoever! 😂💃🏻

I think I am currently running entirely on adrenaline, love and an enormous sense of blessing.

And then there is the Full Moon. 🌕✨
A time of illumination, gratitude, culmination and recognising how far we have travelled.
All of it, shining brightly.

Maybe that's why this feels so incredibly emotional.

And I am just completely, ridiculously, overwhelmingly proud.

And yes… I am also slightly delighted that I made my little brother cry during my speech. 😂🥹❤️

❤️ And suddenly… every mile was worth it. ❤️

After being awake for more than 24 hours, the exhaustion has definitely caught up with me. The long journey, the airports, the flights, the tiredness… all of it.

But then you see this.

And you realise every single moment of the journey was worth it. ✨

Tonight, we gathered together — all of us siblings, with our parents — under the same roof, in the same room, together again.

It has been almost 15 years since we were all together like this. Almost 15 years of life happening… different paths, different homes, different experiences, celebrations and challenges, growing older and becoming our own families.

And yet, when we are together, there is something so deeply familiar.

Something that doesn't need words.

Just family. ❤️

To sit together, laugh together, share stories, eat together and simply 'be' together again has been incredibly emotional and humbling.

I feel so incredibly blessed.

Blessed that we could all make the journey.

Blessed that our parents are here to see all their children together.

Blessed that our youngest brother's wedding has brought us all back to one place.

And blessed to be reminded that, amongst all the busyness of life, family is one of the greatest gifts we have.

Tonight my heart feels full in a way that sleep simply can't fix. 🥹❤️

Soulfully happy. Deeply grateful. Completely blessed.

Here’s to family, togetherness, love, memories and the precious moments that remind us what really matters.

Sometimes life takes us thousands of miles away… only to bring us back home to each other. 🌿❤️

🌴✈️ BALI BOUND! ✈️🌴

An early morning start to the airport, heading off to Bali for my youngest brother’s wedding. ❤️

I’m so looking forward to slowing down, being fully present with my family, celebrating love, sharing precious time together and making memories that will stay with us for years to come. 🥰

While I’m away, all classes will continue as usual.
I’m incredibly grateful to have the wonderful Victoria, Homby and Alex holding the space and sharing their own beautiful offerings with you while I’m away.

Please keep showing up, practising together and supporting them. Your continued attendance means so much — not only to me, but to the teachers who are stepping in and helping our community keep moving, breathing and growing. ❤️

I’ll be back on 12th September and I cannot wait to see all your lovely faces again! 🥰

Until then, keep practising, keep connecting, keep supporting one another — and remember, the community is the magic. ❤️

With love, gratitude and a very full heart…

See you soon, yogis. 🌴🧘‍♀️✨

Because wellbeing matters at work, too.

Once a month, on a Monday afternoon, I have the pleasure of delivering a corporate wellbeing yoga session with Nottinghamshire Police.

It’s been such a joy to share these sessions with the team — creating a little space in the working day to pause, breathe, move, release tension and reconnect.

I think it’s wonderful to see organisations recognising that staff wellbeing is something worth investing in. 🤍

Why yoga at work?
Work can be physically and mentally demanding. Long periods of sitting, busy schedules, pressure, deadlines and the constant need to be “switched on” can all take a toll.
Research into workplace yoga and mindfulness suggests benefits for stress, mental wellbeing, physical health and overall quality of life.

But for me, it’s also about something very simple: creating a welcoming space where people can step away from the demands of work, move their bodies, breathe and feel supported.

My workplace wellbeing experience includes working with:

🌿 Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Police
🌿 Nottinghamshire NHS services
🌿 QMC Hospital staff wellbeing events
🌿 Small groups & one-to-one sessions
🌿 Menopause Yoga
🌿 Menopause & Yoga workplace talks and discussions

I offer sessions that are accessible, inclusive and adaptable — no previous yoga experience or flexibility needed.

✨ 30–90 minute sessions
✨ One-off wellbeing events or regular classes
✨ In-person or online
✨ Yoga, mindful movement, breathwork & relaxation
✨ Menopause wellbeing sessions

Whether you're planning a wellbeing week, team day, staff retreat or regular workplace sessions, I’d love to create something that works for your team.

A huge thank you to Nottinghamshire Police for trusting me to offer these monthly sessions. It’s been a real pleasure. 🤍

Last Friday evening felt like one of those little moments where everything simply falls into place. 🌿✨

I had the absolute pleasure of travelling to Belper to offer a private yoga session for a small family group who had known me for some time and invited me to create something just for them.

We gathered in the most beautiful outdoor space, with a balcony overlooking the river, surrounded by trees and nature. After all the rain we’d had, we felt incredibly lucky to be gifted with a warm, sunny evening, a gentle breeze and that beautiful feeling of “this is exactly where we’re meant to be.” 🤍

They also asked for a little soothing sound bath, and honestly… what more could we need? The sound of the bowls gently blending with the sounds of nature was something really special. 🌿

This is one of the things I love most about yoga. Yoga is about connection — to ourselves, to one another and to the world around us. It can be playful and joyful, as well as quiet and restorative.

There is no need to be perfect. No need to perform. Just an invitation to arrive as you are. 🧘‍♀️

I truly loved offering this private group session, and I’m so grateful to everyone for trusting me to create this experience for you. I’m even happier knowing that you all had fun, enjoyed yourselves and hopefully left feeling a little lighter. 💛

If you’re thinking about organising a Private Yoga and Wellbeing Session, I’d love to hear from you.

✨ Girly weekends
✨ Hen parties
✨ Family gatherings
✨ Birthdays & celebrations
✨ Corporate/workplace wellbeing
✨ Small private groups

Sessions can be adapted around what you need and what you’re hoping to create — whether that’s movement, connection, relaxation, mindfulness, breathwork, sound or simply some time to pause together.

Well… that’s me done. I am BEAT! 😂 And, if I’m honest, absolutely starving!

What a beautifully full, busy and emotional few days it has been. From sharing a small-group yoga and sound bath session, teaching my yoga classes, completing my final sound bath case studies, and holding my very first 'Nurturing Stillness' workshop in the studio… what a weekend. ✨

And now, of course, there is the paperwork for completing my diploma, final admin before I go away, preparations for my first ever burlesque show (yes… your yoga teacher is also a burlesque dancer on the side! 😉💃🏻), and then… BALI! 🌴

Off to celebrate my youngest brother’s wedding with my husband and, hopefully, to properly exhale for a little while. We really have earned this break. ❤️

The 'Morning Dew' card from the Rose Oracle couldn't have felt more perfect this week. A gentle reminder of renewal, nourishment and grace. It arrives quietly, gently, without force. It gives the rose what it needs before the heat of the day begins.

And perhaps that is the reminder I need too.

'Santosha' invites us to practise contentment — to pause and recognise the abundance that already exists in this moment. And 'Aparigraha' reminds us not to cling too tightly, but to trust, release and allow.

This week has reminded me that we can work hard, create, teach, grow and give… but we also need to receive. 🌿

I am feeling truly blessed and deeply grateful for every single person who has supported my little yoga community. For those who turn up, encourage me, share their energy, laugh with me, practise with me and continue to believe in what I am creating — thank you. 🥹❤️

Three more days with me, and then my lovely yogis will be in very safe hands while I’m away (Homby Movement Teacher, Iprana Yoga, Alex - Gongs, Yoga, Retreats, Vegan Chef, Notts/Derby).I couldn't be more grateful for this beautiful, supportive, fun and community-centred little space we have created together.

For now… I think I need food, a shower, and absolutely nothing on my to-do list. 😂🌹

Blessed. Grateful. Supported. Nourished

And maybe… just like the morning dew… it’s time to receive. ✨

🌸 MENOPAUSE YOGA IS BACK! 🌸

You spoke, I listened. ❤️

So many of you have shared your experiences, questions and challenges around menopause — and the truth is, we may all experience it differently, but none of us has to navigate it alone.

That’s why I’m excited to introduce a new 'Menopause Yoga & Wellbeing Workshop Programme' — beginning on Sunday 18th October, as we celebrate World Menopause Day.

This is more than just a yoga class. Each 3-hour workshop is a safe, intimate space to:

🧘‍♀️ Practise gentle menopause-informed yoga
🌬️ Explore breathwork and calming techniques
🌙 Experience deep relaxation and Yoga Nidra
💭 Reflect, learn and reconnect with yourself
☕️ Share experiences over a warm drink — only if you wish
🤍 Connect with other women who understand

We'll explore the beautiful Menopause Yoga concept of “The Second Spring” — seeing this stage not simply as an ending, but as an opportunity for renewal, growth, wisdom and a new chapter.

You are very welcome whether you are:
• Experiencing perimenopause, menopause or post-menopause
• Supporting someone through their journey
• Or simply curious and want to understand menopause before you enter this stage of life

No previous yoga experience is needed.

🤍 The Programme
You can book the full 5-workshop programme and journey through the seasons together.

If you can't commit to all five, individual sessions will also be available. To keep the programme intimate and give priority to those committing to the full journey, individual sessions will be released two weeks before each workshop, subject to availability.

So even if you're not ready to book the full programme, please save the dates and keep an eye out for the individual session releases.

🎟️ Make sure to book the course via Gymcatch.

Your experiences, thoughts and questions can be incredibly valuable — not only for yourself, but for other women in the room.

🌸 You don't have to navigate menopause alone. Come as you are, learn, move, breathe, rest and connect.

Your Second Spring starts here. 🌱❤️

Solar Eclipse, Studio Light & Our Practice

A little thank you to everyone who came to classes last night. 🤍

Whilst much of the world was busy watching the solar eclipse, our classes continued — and there was something quite magical about practising through it.

The studio was filled with such beautiful afternoon light. I purposely leave one of the windows without blinds, and it has been catching the most gorgeous warm sunshine.

Yesterday, though, the light felt a little different.

I even managed to capture a little video from inside the studio while teaching, so you could get a feeling for the beautiful afternoon glow we experienced together. You can see the light gradually changing, the room becoming slightly darker, and that fascinating moment when the moon passed between us and the sun — almost as though the sky itself was taking a quiet breath.

And yes, it was very bright! I was being especially careful with my eyes, teaching with them closed or occasionally with one eye closed protecting my eyes from the sun. 🌒

There was something quite fitting about practising yoga during an eclipse.

A solar eclipse is a moment of light and shadow meeting. The sun is still there, even when the moon temporarily moves across it. And perhaps that is one of the things I love about yoga — we are not always trying to get rid of the darker, quieter, more uncertain parts of ourselves. We learn to sit with them. To notice them. To move through them.

There was warmth in the room, warmth in the evening light, and warmth in practising together as a community.

And then, slowly, the signs of evening began to appear. The sun continued on its journey, the light changed, and the studio became a little darker.

Nothing dramatic. Just a beautiful reminder that everything is always moving and changing.

Perhaps that is the little lesson I took from the eclipse: light doesn't disappear when it moves into shadow. It is still there.

Here’s a little glimpse of our studio under that beautiful changing sky. 🤍

Sometimes we surprise ourselves... 💛

This week, I surprised myself by realising that, at 50, I can still come into Wheel Pose (Urdhva Dhanurasana). Not because I practise it every day or because I was trying to prove anything, but because it reminded me that strength doesn't disappear with age—it simply changes.

This is exactly what we'll be exploring throughout August at NaMasYoga Studio.

Our theme is Strength & Courage, inspired by the yogic philosophy of Virya—the inner energy that gives us the courage to keep showing up, to persevere with patience, and to trust the process rather than chase the pose.

Over the coming weeks, we'll gradually build towards stronger backbends through the Warrior Series, Bridge Pose, core stability and back strengthening. We'll use plenty of props, modifications and alignment-focused practices, because yoga isn't about forcing ourselves into a shape—it's about creating the strength, mobility and confidence to move safely and sustainably.

Wheel isn't the goal. The journey towards it is.

Wherever you are in your practice, know that your body is capable of more than you might think when you approach it with consistency, curiosity and kindness.

Age is not the limitation. The way we care for ourselves is what makes the difference.

Come and join us this August as we grow stronger together, support one another, and celebrate every small achievement along the way.

✨ It's never too late to surprise yourself.
