Bones, Bars of Soap, and Boxcars!....

For those of you in the know that can only mean one thing - a game of dominoes!

A little friendly competition was on the agenda last week at Edward House, as our residents enjoyed a game with the ivories.
There was plenty of concentration, laughter, and great conversation as everyone put their skills to the test. Activities like these are a wonderful way to keep minds active, encourage social interaction, and most importantly, have fun together.
Well done to all who took part – we can't wait for the next game!

Beautiful creations.......

The lovely Edward House residents enjoyed a wonderful arts and crafts session last week, painting fantastic Russian dolls!

Creativity was flowing as everyone added their own unique colours and designs, resulting in some fantastic masterpieces. Activities like these are a great way to encourage self-expression, social interaction, and lots of smiles along the way.

An absolutely fabulous day!......

What a fantastic day enjoyed by our residents recently! ☀️🍔🎭
The sunshine, delicious BBQ, and lots of laughter made for a wonderful afternoon, topped off with a brilliant pantomime performance that had everyone smiling. It's days like these that create special memories and bring our community together.

Unleashing creativity......

The lovely residents of Edward House like nothing better than to get creative and join in with an arts and crafts session. This week, they collaborated to produce a lovely piece to hang on the wall. Lots of painting and plenty of discussion about what should be placed where! The end result looks great, and it was super relaxing for everyone to take part in.

What a wonderful way to get creative !!

Play-Doh is not only good fun, but also the perfect activity for keeping our residents' fine motor skills in tip-top condition. Here, at Edward House, everyone had a great time making their creations, and there were a lot of laughs when things didn't always turn out right the first time! But we think practice made perfect, and there were some lovely results.

Our talented resident, Chris, shared his drawings with us today. He is a super keen artist and is often to be found working hard at his art. What a creative pastime and brilliant for encouraging engagement. We think Chris's artwork deserves a round of applause, and he should be very proud of his collected works.

Enjoying Easter.....

Here at Edward House, everyone has been having a lot of fun over the Easter period. We loved decorating the home and had a load of laughs wearing our bunny ears! As you can see from the photos, our residents had a lovely time, and particularly enjoyed their Easter treats and hunting for eggs! We hope you enjoyed Easter as much as we did.

Thank you, Springbank Academy!

It's always lovely to receive a card, isn't it. So when this week lots of Easter cards arrived for our residents, they were thrilled. Handmade and with lots of different designs, it was a real treat for everyone in the home to receive such a nice gift. We would like to say a big thank you to all the pupils at Springbank Academy who must have worked so hard to make all the cards. They make a lovely addition to the home's Easter decorations!

Easter Fun!

There's been such a lovely buzz around Edward House this week as our residents got ready for Easter. They decided to get creative and made their very own Easter hats and decorations. Lots of creativity was on show, and there were some lovely bonnets on display. Everyone is looking forward to the arrival of the Easter Bunny and no doubt eating an egg or two!

What a creative group!

Edward House has a lot of wonderful residents, and one of the things they are brilliant at is being creative. Having painted tulips for display in the home, they then decided to turn their attention to making Easter decorations. Colourful, pretty, and egg-themed, these lovely creations were displayed on their own tree. The home has certainly been brightened up by our residents' efforts - they should be very proud. What will they turn their hands to next?
