Main Responsibilities
Assist service user getting up in the morning and going to bed at night
Provide service user to care for washing, bathing, showing, skin, teeth, hair, nails, dressing, un******ng and other related personal care as detailed in care plan.
Provide support for service users with toileting, continence management and personal hygiene
To assist service users with their medication at the agreed level of support and as detailed in their Medication Care Needs Assessment
To prepare food and drink for the service users, being aware of the service users s, likes / dislikes, nutritional needs and cultural requirements
To provide light general household domestic duties, including housework and laundry, as detailed in the care plan or instructed by Management
To use manual handling equipment safely and correctly
To take responsibility for the safe handling of property and equipment belonging to the service users
To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with service users
To provide companionship to the service users, actively talking and listening to them about their interests
To help the service users to maintain contact with their family and friends
To accompany the Client on trips into the community
To assist the Client to manage their personal affairs
To ensure as safe as possible the living environment for the service users, whilst respecting the service user’s choice and rights
Requirements
An Enhanced DBS Certificate
Caring, compassionate and patient nature
Driving License preferably
Previous experience within the care sector is preferred although full training and mentoring will be provided
