Getting older doesn’t automatically mean leaving your favourite activities behind. 💚

A regular walk, a gentle gym session or a padel game can still be meaningful goals. What matters is choosing an appropriate level, building gradually and adjusting when your body needs it.

There’s no single version of “active” that everyone has to meet.

Save this post for motivation, or tell us: what activity do you love making time for?

Staying active shouldn’t mean feeling you have to push through recurring pain.

Whether you enjoy walking, padel or the gym, the goal is to find a routine that works for your body today and supports the activities you love.

If the same foot or lower-limb discomfort keeps returning, getting it assessed can help you understand your options.

Still Living Around The Pain?

Have you gradually started changing your routine around an injury?

Skipping certain exercises.

Running shorter distances.

Avoiding hills.

Missing matches.

Choosing activities based on what you think might hurt.

When those small compromises start becoming normal, it can be easy to forget how much the problem is actually affecting you.

If an old injury is still influencing what you can do, it may be time for a clearer assessment and recovery plan.

Book an assessment and take the next step towards moving with confidence again.

Training Harder Than Your Body Can Recover?

Running. Jumping. Lifting. Sled work. Circuits. Repeat.

Cross-training can place a lot of different demands on your body — and sometimes training progresses faster than a particular muscle or tendon is ready to tolerate.

A little post-training fatigue is normal.

But if the same lower-limb discomfort keeps appearing, affects your sessions or changes how you train, it may be worth investigating rather than continually working around it.

Get expert advice and keep moving forward.

If walking, balance or everyday movement still feels difficult after a stroke, you don’t have to keep guessing about what to work on next.

A rehabilitation assessment can help identify:
• where movement is being limited
• changes in balance or coordination
• areas of weakness or reduced confidence
• practical goals for everyday mobility
From there, rehabilitation can be tailored around the person rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Our focus is on helping people work towards safer, more confident movement in everyday life.

Every 5 minutes, someone in the UK has a stroke.

A stroke can change someone’s life in an instant — affecting their ability to move, speak and manage everyday activities.

That’s why recognising the signs and acting quickly matters.
Remember FAST:

F — Face: Is one side of the face weak or drooping?
A — Arms: Can they raise both arms and keep them there?
S — Speech: Is their speech slurred or difficult to understand?
T — Time: If you notice any of these signs, it’s time to raise the alarm.

This , we’re joining and organisations around the world to help more people recognise the signs of stroke and understand why every minute counts.

Please share this post — knowing the signs could help someone get the treatment they need faster.

Recovery Isn’t Just “Does It Hurt?”

Pain matters.

But it isn’t the only way to measure recovery.

Progress might also look like:

• completing more repetitions
• tolerating greater load
• moving with better control
• walking further
• running for longer
• returning to training
• recovering better after activity

That’s why rehabilitation shouldn’t only ask whether something hurts today.

The bigger question is whether your body is becoming more capable of doing what you need it to do.

Track the right things during recovery.
