This is us, the founders of Kasa CIC. We met while completing our Tavistock training and became friends.

While we watched events unfold after the tragic murder of George Floyd we began to think about the trauma. We also thought about the services we work within and how often we see people colour present for psychodynamic psychotherapy. We concluded it didn’t happen often and we wanted to changed that.

Welcome to Kasa-CIC.

We are a team of three psychodynamic psychotherapists who are working with NHS settings in different capacities however we all noticed the same thing; people from Black and Asian communities rarely present for therapy. Kasa was therefore created to address this by creating free or low fee opportunities for people to enter into therapy for a duration of one year.

We do this by securing donations from private sector organisations and in the future fundraising.

Our therapists are BCP registered and sit within a experiential group to address unconscious bias, all matters of race and difference to ensure that each patient has a good enough experience of psychodynamic/analytic psychotherapy.

To join our list of therapists please visit our website to register your interest and please do the same if your are seeking therapy or making a referral.

Currently UK only.

We provide grants for individuals to have a year of psychodynamic/psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy as defined by The British Psychoanalytic Council: www.bpc.org.uk/information-support/what-is-therapy

We also ensure all psychotherapists who work with us attend a group on unconscious biases.

We provide consultation and assessment for any partnership organisations, such as Social Services or third sector charities working with hard to reach populations.
