David Scott is hosting a charity night for Disability Support! 💜

On the 25th November at 7 pm to 11 pm at Basford Miners Welfare Centre, 55 Goldcrest Rd, Nottingham NG6 8PT

The funds from this night will help with additional costs, we need that allows us to keep helping our communities. A donation is the price of admission.

There will be games, raffles and live musical acts! 🎶

We would love to see some old and new face there! 🤩

Our third celebrity is comedian and actor Chris Rock. 🎤

Chris has spoken publicly about being diagnosed with non-verbal learning disability (NVLD), which can affect how a person interprets non-verbal cues and navigates social situations.

Speaking about this helps raise awareness of neurodiversity and reminds us that not every disability is visible. 🖤

Our second celebrity is Nyrobi, one half of the British rock duo ALT BLK ERA! 🎸 A Nottingham girlie.

Nyrobi has used her music and platform to share what her life is like living with chronic fatigue syndrome.

She wants to bring more visibility to her disability and health condition while working in the music industry.

Activism like this helps to start important conversations about accessibility, inclusion and the experiences of Black disabled creatives.

Black disabled voices belong on every stage, in every genre and in every conversation. 🖤

For Black History month, we want to speak about some black celebrities with disabilities 🖤

Our first celebrity is rapper Missy Elliott! 🎤

Missy Elliott has spoken about living with Graves’ disease, an autoimmune condition that affects the thyroid.

After taking time away for recovery, she’s made her way back into the music scene.

Maggie’s Nottingham City Hospital welcomes everyone to their Lung Cancer Support Day 🧡.
On the Saturday 14th November starting 9:30am – 2:30pm.

There will be goodie bags, talks, advice, drinks, and cake. Maggie’s will be offering support and advice for people diagnosed with lung cancer and for their family and friends 🤗.

Stay as long as you want and this event is suitable for all.

Look for a funny green dome building 💚.
