It is lovely to celebrate clients who we have been able to support to get their independence back. It is always sad to say goodbye to a client but we are so happy they are able to fully support themselves and no longer need our support at home. We have received a lovely gift of chocolates from the family as a thank you today, when it was our absolute pleasure. Safe to say the chocolates will disappear very quickly!

This week is adult safeguarding week!

Safeguarding is all about prevention and the steps which can be taken to support individuals from potential harm or abuse and to act before any harm occurs.

Safeguarding and risk assessments are part of our everyday practice, ensuring we are supporting those we care for to remain as safe in their homes as possible.

It is also important for this reason to build and develop strong friendships between our staff and clients so we can encourage clients to speak up if they are concerned or worried about anything. This is a part of person centered care and goes at the heart of how we provide care for our clients.
