The highlight of the week was having the fantastic Elvis tribute act, Danny Fisher, perform for us yesterday. Twenty-six residents, and some families, enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon filled with music, singing, dancing and a few drinks.💃🕺🥂
Danny had everyone 'all shook up' with a brilliant selection of Elvis classics, and before long the room was alive with clapping, toe-tapping and plenty of smiles. It was 'now or never' for getting up to dance, and many residents couldn't resist joining in!
Events like these are always a hit, bringing back wonderful memories, encouraging social interaction, boosting wellbeing and creating special moments for residents and their loved ones to share.
It was a performance 'fit for The King', and we'd like to thank Danny Fisher for giving us an afternoon we certainly 'can't help falling in love' with. Thank you for helping us make such fantastic memories together! 🙌❤️

Residents gathered for a social morning, focusing on all things birds! 🐦🦃🐔🦅
I printed a bird picture quiz off, and the residents had a look to test their knowledge, which sparked lots of conversation. We then made Bird feeders by slicing apples, tying string through a hole we had made, spreading with peanut butter and covering with Bird seed, trickier than it sounds!We also had a little multiple choice Bird quiz. A bird wordsearch and bird anagram sheet were also on hand for a bit of extra brain training 🧠. The Bird feeders are out in the garden for the birds, and probably the squirrels to enjoy.

Hydration is always a priority for our residents, but even more so during the hot weather. This week, residents have enjoyed a variety of refreshing drinks, including fizzy drinks, tasty cordials and flavoured iced coffees, helping to keep them cool and hydrated. This afternoon, they were also treated to a popular ice cream station, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. 🍦🍦🧋🧃

Happy fathers day to all the wonderful dads out there... please help yourself to to the fathers day themed quizzes, crosswords, wordseaches, poems, jokes etc in the upstairs and downstairs main lounges when visiting, and enjoy together 💙
