One of the hardest things about grief is that life still expects things from you while you’re trying to process something incredibly painful.
The world keeps moving.
And often people feel pressure to keep moving with it, even when they’re emotionally exhausted underneath.
That can leave people feeling overwhelmed, mentally drained and frustrated with themselves for not coping “better”.
But grief affects far more than emotions alone.
It affects concentration, energy, patience, sleep and your nervous system too.
A lot of people are simply carrying more than others realise.
