A pessary and a “see you in a year.” A shrug and a prescription for pelvic floor exercises nobody checked you could actually do. A “well, you’re not planning more children, are you” when you asked about surgery options.

I’ve heard it all in clinic. And I’m done watching my patients absorb it like it’s normal.

It’s not normal. It’s just common. Those aren’t the same thing.

My daughter’s 6. She’s the reason I trained in pelvic health in the first place. And six years in, my drive to change this hasn’t softened. It’s got stronger.

Change doesn’t happen because the system feels like being kind one day. It happens because enough of us stop accepting “that’s just how it is” as an answer.

You know your body. You know when something’s wrong. Stop apologising for saying so.

Tag a woman who needed permission to expect more. Or drop a 🙋‍♀️ if you’ve heard any of these lines yourself.

Kinda sus.

Swipe through and tell me which one you’ve heard before.

Bet it’s not just one. Nobody told you any of this sooner because the standard advice is still “just do your kegels” and nothing else.

Free 10 min class breaks down what’s actually going on down there. Comment KEGEL26 and I’ll send it over.

Pelvic floor exercises aren’t one size fits all. Doing the wrong one every day won’t fix a thing.

What I see every week in clinic is women doing their kegels perfectly. Symptoms not budging.

A pelvic floor that’s already gripping doesn’t need more squeezing. It needs to let go first.

Swipe to see why “just do your kegels” keeps failing prolapse patients, and what has to happen before you strengthen anything.

Free 10-minute class in bio. Comment KEGEL26.

Kegels: are you making it worse?

If squeezing feels like it’s not helping (or makes things feel heavier after), you’re not doing it wrong. You’re doing it too soon.

Comment KEGEL26 and I’ll send you my free class. It starts where your pelvic floor actually needs to start: relaxed.

Most of what you’ve been told about kegels skips this bit completely. Squeeze on top of tension and you just get more tension. Not more strength.

Relax first. Support around it. Then squeeze.

That’s the order that nobody is talking about

should i stop doing kegels?

That’s what you’re typing right now, isn’t it. Flare up hits and suddenly you’re convinced you’ve undone months of progress.

Save this one. You’ll want it next time your body does this to you.

You haven’t broken anything. Your pelvic floor isn’t punishing you, it’s asking for a break.

Swipe through. And if this is where you are today: you’re not on your own in it.

If you want something to help today, comment KEGEL26 and I’ll send you my free No Kegel Fix relaxation class.

I’ve lost count of the women who come to me with a strong pelvic floor. Still leaking.

Comment KEGEL26 for the free class that explains why.

Nobody ever asked why the muscle wasn’t responding. Nobody checked if it was already switched on and stuck there.

What if it was never about strength at all? A pelvic floor that won’t relax can’t do its job properly either. Doesn’t matter how strong it is.

Same story, different woman, every time. Strengthened it. Still leaking. Zero support, and confused why none of it’s helped.

It was never a strength problem. It was the wrong instruction.

Comment KEGEL26 and I’ll send you the class that starts where your actual pelvic floor is at, not where the generic advice assumed it was.

747 of you signed up last week.

I still can’t quite get my head round it.

Doors to the membership are shut for now, but if you want to know the second they open again: comment WAITLIST and I’ll message you.

This is the thing I’ve wanted to build for two years. Last week’s the proof there’s more work to do, and I’m not slowing down.

Done your kegels for months? Still no better?

I’ve read hundreds of messages this month. Same story, different women.
“You’re fine.”
“It’s just what happens after babies.”
“Just do your kegels.”

Every single one of them taught me something. Not just about prolapse.

About how badly women have been let down by the advice they were given.

That’s not a coincidence.

That’s a pattern.

And it cements exactly why this needs to change.

I’m honoured that you felt able to share that with me. Some of it wasn’t easy to write, I know that.

I’m going to use every one of those messages. To teach better. To keep shouting about it until “just do your kegels” stops being the answer women get handed.

DMs always open if you want to tell me yours.

One thing I hear over and over again in clinic is “I thought I was the only one”

The reality couldn’t be more different.

Around 60% of women in the UK experience at least one pelvic floor symptom, yet more than half never seek professional help (Source is RCOG).

For many, it’s because they feel embarrassed or have been told it’s simply something they have to put up with. That’s heartbreaking.

Because when something impacts your confidence, your exercise, your social life, or even how you feel about your own body, the last thing you need is to feel alone as well.

Yes, my membership Beyond Kegels gives you weekly prolapse-safe Pilates classes, expert guidance and a growing library of recordings.

But the community is just as important.

It’s a place where you can ask questions without embarrassment, celebrate progress with women who genuinely understand, and realise you’re not the only person navigating this.

Sometimes, hearing someone say “me too” is the first step towards believing things can get better.

I’d love to welcome you inside.

Doors close Sunday at 10pm, and the founding rate of £35/month disappears after that.

Comment BEYOND and I will send you all of the details.
