🚨This is why I preach safety in aesthetics 🚨
Two weeks ago I had my first positive aspiration whilst performing lip filler and this is the reason I aspirate before I inject.
The positive aspiration was superficial and in a place I wouldn’t have expected to have got one as it was not near where the arteries are ‘supposed to be’……but natures beautiful right and everyone’s individual……there’s only a 2% chance of the artery being here and there it was 😳
Had I not have aspirated and not injected there, we would have caused a complication for this patient, that, although reversible, could have negative consequences including tissue death.
Instead of placing filler we removed the needle, changed everything over, completed the treatment and monitored them closely in the days that follow.
This is the reason you need to chose a safe injector, one that will talk you through the process, explain what’s happening and will check, check and double check, then if something unfortunate like this happens, has got your back and will look after you, not block and delete you.
Our patient’s lips have healed now and at their two week review are looking fantastic and natural 🥰
