Pulmonary awareness month – Tie in with lung checks

🩵 September is Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month 🩵

Pulmonary fibrosis is a serious lung condition that causes scarring of the lungs, making it increasingly difficult to breathe.

This month, we are raising awareness, support those living with the condition, and recognise the importance of research, early diagnosis, and compassionate care.

Walk and talk support group for people affected by cancer

The weekly walks allow patients with cancer or recovering from their illness to join specialist nurses and fellow patients to share their progress, experiences or to just talk in a relaxed setting with others.

Anyone interested in joining our group is welcome to just attend or to contact Mick Gilbert by telephone/text on 07584676145.

It’s really relaxed with no set agenda, if you don’t feel able to do the walk you are welcome to join the group for coffee.

The walks start outside the Nuneaton Museum coffee shop in Riversley Park.

Due to the Summer Bank Holiday, our surgery will be closed today and will reopen on Tuesday 1st September 2026.

If you need medical help while we are closed:

🚑 999 – In a medical emergency

✅ Our Enhanced Access service will be providing additional face to face appointments on Tuesday, 1st of September at Red Roofs Surgery – speak to your GP practice, book an appointment online or call 02475 107 053 to book an appointment.

✅ Pharmacy First can help with many minor illnesses – contact your local pharmacy for advice
