Did you know there are a number of different things which can impact the clarity of your maternity ultrasound scans, including:

🔵the position of your baby
🔵where your placenta is
🔵your body mass index (BMI)
🔵how many weeks pregnant you are
🔵whether you have wind in your tummy (bowel gas). Most people do have this.

Following your appointment, you can use the machine in the waiting area to purchase photos of your scan. Please remember we can only take card payments and are unable to accept cash.

Everyone has a role to play 💙

Families who breastfeed should feel safe, welcome and supported wherever they are.
Whether in cafés, shopping centres, parks, workplaces or community spaces, creating breastfeeding-friendly environments helps families feel confident and included.

Access to reliable information, supportive services and welcoming spaces can make a real difference throughout a family's breastfeeding journey.

Our SPA team can help with general enquiries, referrals, signposting to services, or putting you in touch with a health visitor or member of our infant feeding team.

💉 Have you had your whooping cough vaccine yet? Cases of whooping cough are continuing to rise.

Visitors on Labour ward and Drayton Ward

We are so grateful to everyone who visits our Maternity Unit for helping us create a calm, welcoming, and secure space for mums and babies ❤️

To help keep our Labour and Drayton Wards as safe as possible, we kindly ask:
Please do not hold the door open for anyone else to come through.

It might feel polite, but it is really important that each visitor is buzzed in by staff so we know exactly who is on the ward at any time.

This small step helps us protect all of the families in our care and we really appreciate your support and understanding.

If you are ever unsure, just speak to a member of the team we are always here to help.
