Thank you to everyone at Head Office for the beautiful flowers and anniversary card. It was a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated by both of us.

Reading the card gave us an opportunity to reflect on the journey we have been on. Like any successful business, there have been challenges and difficult moments along the way, but looking at what we have achieved together reminds us that the struggle has been worth it.

We are incredibly proud of the team we have built at Visiting Angels Manchester East, particularly Jodie and the Angels who work tirelessly every day to provide outstanding care. To be recognised as one of the best providers in the region is something we do not take for granted.

It is also meaningful to know that people recognise the hard work, commitment and passion that Badar and I have invested behind the brand. Visiting Angels Manchester East is more than a business to us; it is something we have built with dedication, resilience and a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives.

A special thank you to Bella for her support, kindness and thoughtfulness. Your support has always been appreciated and did not go unnoticed.

Today, on our tenth wedding anniversary, I received a surprise that left me completely overwhelmed.

My eldest son arrived with fifty beautiful roses and a box of chocolates. The roses were absolutely stunning, their vibrant blooms filling the room with colour and warmth, but it was the love and thought behind them that touched my heart in a way words can barely capture.

There are moments in life that remind you just how precious family is, and this was one of them.

To be thought of in such a loving and thoughtful way on a day that already held so much meaning meant more than I can put into words. As I stood looking at those roses, I felt my heart swell with gratitude, love and pride, overwhelmed by the blessing of being surrounded by such a caring son.

Thank you for making me feel so special and so loved. You turned a beautiful anniversary into an unforgettable one, filling it with joy that I will treasure for years to come.

The roses will fade with time, but the memory of how you made me feel today the happiness, the love, and the deep sense of being cherished will stay with me forever.

I love you more than words will ever be able to express.

Celebrating Our 10th Wedding Anniversary ❤️

Today we are celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary surrounded by the people we love.

When we arrived at the office this morning, we were greeted by the most beautiful surprise arranged Jodii Harthan our amazing Care Manager. Her thoughtfulness, kindness and generosity never cease to amaze us.

Sharing such a special milestone with Jodie made the day even more meaningful, as she truly feels like part of our family. We are incredibly grateful for all the beautiful gifts she gave us to mark our Tin Anniversary and for the love and support she shows us every day.

Thank you, Jodie, for making our anniversary so special. We both love you like family and feel so blessed to have you in our lives.

During one of our Registered Manager meetings at Head Office, the use of fidget toys was discussed as a simple but meaningful way to support individuals who may experience anxiety or feel overwhelmed.

Following this conversation, I proposed introducing a small selection of sensory and fidget resources within our office environment to support both our office team and our angels.

At the heart of our business is compassion, understanding, and person-centred support. While we are dedicated to supporting the people we care for, it is equally important that we create a calm, supportive, and nurturing environment for our staff and colleagues, too. Small tools such as these can provide comfort, grounding, and reassurance during busy or stressful moments, helping to promote well-being, emotional regulation, and positive communication.

We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel safe, supported, valued, and understood, and these resources are another reflection of the caring culture we continue to build together.

When the weather is beautiful, it’s so important to make sure our clients are hydrated, eating well, and enjoying some fresh air and company.

Today Jodie and I spent some lovely time in the sunshine with our wonderful client, enjoying great conversation and a fresh summer plate filled with salad, cucumber, tomatoes, coleslaw, cheese, ham and a few little treats on the side.

Simple moments like these mean so much and are what care is truly about.

Some moments in life leave you completely speechless.

Whilst at work, I received several photos of a newly installed water pump in Pakistan. At first, I genuinely thought the images had been sent to the wrong person. I messaged the charity owner Nadia asking if there had been a mistake because surely this couldn’t possibly be for me.

She apologised and said she would double check. A few moments later, she sent me a screenshot confirming the donation had been made by my husband, Badar.

Standing there at my client’s home, all I could do was stare at the photos and hold back tears of happiness. To know that someone you love has quietly done something so meaningful, not for recognition, but simply from the goodness of their heart… it is a feeling beyond words.

A water pump is more than just water. It is ease for families, relief for children, comfort for mothers, and a source of life for an entire community. Knowing lives will be changed through an act of kindness made in my name is something I will carry in my heart forever.

Truly blessed am I to be loved by him.
