Why your days feel like a never-ending marathon (and what to do about it).
What I continue to find astonishing…
Is that there are obvious and predictable rules of “how to use your body”.
If you run a marathon without training - you’re going to create a whole host of problems from tissue breakdown right through to potential rhabdomyolysis.
Yet we treat the brain (also an organic tissue!) like a primary school computer. Always on, and to hell with the consequences.
That is not how it works.
There are distinct ways in which I can make your life considerably easier…
And your performance exponentially better (not to mention consistent)…
Whilst concurrently affording you the peace and presence of mind to not be insufferable to be around, or perpetually exhausted.
I know you want to do the work - I’m interested in helping you excel by focusing on the RIGHT work.
Side note:
I love Jocko, Goggins et al. Their message, and the message of others like it is exciting and inspirational - even to me!
But after a few days or weeks - you’ll soon recognise “just be disciplined, don’t be a bitch”…
Really doesn’t work.
If you’ve tried “just being more disciplined” - you’ll already know this.
I’m inviting you to consider what would be possible for you using a different approach.
I’ll leave you with this…
“If you get asked to push a heavy gym sled all day - you’ve got two options. ‘Just start pushing, and try to push harder when you’re exhausted’ - or put the sled on wheels to reduce the friction”.
I specialise in the latter.
