This World Sexual Health Day, the theme is Every Body.

It's a reminder that sexual health isn't just for one age group, one gender, or one stage of life. To the twenty-something figuring out contraception. To the new parent navigating changes after birth. To the man who's noticed things aren't quite the same as they used to be. To the woman whose libido has shifted with menopause. To anyone living with a long-term condition that affects how their body feels.

Not every online pharmacy operates safely, and knowing what to look for protects you. Three things worth checking before you order:

✔️ The pharmacy is registered in the UK with the General Pharmaceutical Council, which you can verify on the GPhC website.
✔️ A qualified pharmacist or clinician reviews your order before anything is dispensed.
✔️ Proper health questions are asked before any prescription only medication is supplied.

A genuine pharmacy won't skip the safety questions to make a sale. If something feels rushed, it's worth pausing before you buy!

August is Psoriasis Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness and support the millions of people living with psoriasis across the UK.

Psoriasis is a long-term skin condition that causes dry, itchy, sore and flaky patches of skin, often with silvery-white scales. It can appear anywhere on the body and, while it isn't contagious, it can affect both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Symptoms to watch for:
🔹 Dry, itchy, sore and flaky patches of skin
🔹 Silvery-white scales on lighter skin tones
🔹 Grey or silvery patches on darker skin tones, which may leave darker marks after healing
🔹 Patches that are usually 1 to 2 cm and oval or irregular in shape

There's currently no cure, but treatments can make a real difference, from emollients and vitamin D creams to steroid creams, coal tar treatments and prescription options for more severe psoriasis.

For everyday skin concerns, our pharmacists can help you choose the right emollient and explain how to apply topical treatments correctly. If your symptoms need further assessment, your GP or a dermatologist can take a closer look and recommend the right treatment.

Together, we can raise awareness, reduce stigma and support those living with psoriasis.

Holiday admin has a habit of hiding one important task right at the bottom of the list. Passports, currency, travel insurance, all ticked off weeks in advance. The one thing that actually keeps you well? Left until the night before, when your options have already run out.

Repeat prescriptions can take a few days to process, so planning around a same-day collection is a gamble that doesn't always pay off. Give yourself a buffer, work out how many days you'll be away, and add a few extra in case flights get delayed or plans change.

Sorting this early means you can switch off and enjoy the break. Our pharmacy team can help you get organised before you travel, so it never becomes a last-minute panic.
