Medal Monday!
And it’s a double because I have been so lucky over the last few months to get to run Cphmarathon and Saltire 24 whilst helping to raise some pennies for Kayleigh’s Wee Stars.

So many people to thank but big shout outs to for all the joint training runs and chats whilst she was taking on her first ever marathon.

and Suzanne Dael for being the best support Cphmarathon

Stephen Hart for being the one to get me back into running 5 years ago. For getting me to my first half and full marathons and showing me how to strength train.

Debbie Brazier for helping me to improve my running form (probably need to come back for a review soon 😉)

Kat Wyness for showing me the power of an amazing massage and stretch to keep me moving and 4more Physiotherapy Aberdeen Reformer Pilates & Physiotherapy for the dry needling keeping those calves going

Katie R for deciding at the last minute to join me Saltire 24 and bringing all the esssentials, sweets, knowledge, positive attitude, party hats and chat! You really are the best and it would not have been nearly as enjoyable without you!

Claire Dunn | Endurance Running Coach, I’m not sure where to begin but you took the brief ‘marathon PB and first ultra 6 weeks after’ and helped me smash it! I am not in anyway the same runner that I was before I started coaching with you and I cannot wait to see where the second half of the year takes us 😉…

And lastly to Steven Morris and the kids, thank you for the meals, the cups of tea, the pep talks and basically putting up with all the running chat and long runs, but also to Steven for starting to run because the thought of you getting better than me really spurred me on 🤣

And to everyone who has donated to Kayleigh’s Wee Stars, it is so appreciated thank you! ⭐️

If you got to the end of this ‘Oscar speech’ well done, I promise normal physio and Pilates will resume tomorrow!

To celebrate turning 40 I decided to take on some big running challenges and raise some money for a wonderful local charity!

On 10th May Fiona I am running Copenhagen Marathon followed 6 weeks later by my first Ultra Marathon on 20th June.

My pal Louise Fowlie, along with Natalie, is taking on her first Marathon on the 26th May in Edinburgh.

We’re doing it all to raise money for Kayleigh’s Wee Stars - an amazing Scotland wide charity (based in Oldmeldrum) - raising funds to help families make memories for courageous young children.

We can’t think of a more worthwhile cause to keep us motivated running all these miles and smiling as we cross those finishing lines....

If you would like to help encourage us when the lies feel tough we have set up a Just Giving Page and we appreciate every penny and pound donated 🙂

Last night I had the pleasure of leading Pilates at a Restore and Reset Evening with Jess of .

It was such a lovely evening and so lovely to catch up with women that I have gotten to know over the years and also meet some new ladies too.

One person asked how Jess and I knew each other and I had to stop and think because it feels like I have known Jess forever. I can’t remember the actual time we first spoke but I imagine one of us reached out to the other as we were working with the same client group.

I was lucky enough to go along to Jess’ Mums on the Run when my two were little and she kept me moving online during lockdown. I have loved her challenges over the years. We have collaborated over online talks about women’s health and had many off the record chats about all things postnatal! She’s encouraged many women over the years to come for a Mummy MOT as well!

It’s been wonderful to see her business grown and thrive over the years and last night was a lovely full circle moment where you could really see what an amazing supportive community she has built! Can’t wait to see what else she has in store
