We have recently received new NHS guidance on who is eligible to receive weight loss injections (Mounjaro/Tirzepatide).

Please read this and if you believe you are eligible then send a triage form online or contact reception.

Eligible patients must meet the following criteria:

💉BMI of 35kg/m2 or more

AND at least 4 of the following 5 qualifying co-morbidities:

💉Heart disease (angina, heart attack, peripheral vascular disease, stroke)
💉High blood pressure requiring treatment
💉Abnormal cholesterol levels
💉Obstructive sleep apnoea (sleep clinic confirmed) meeting criteria for continuous positive airways pressure.
💉Type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Weight management pharmacotherapy (GLP-1s and GLP-1/GIPs) should not be prescribed for obesity by General Practice for any patient who does not meet the above criteria.

All patients prescribed weight management pharmacotherapy by General Practice must be referred to a 9 month behavioural support programme. Where a patient declines to participate in this or does not complete this programme, Mounjaro will be discontinued.

PROTECTED LEARNING TIME TODAY

On the 21st May 2026 between 1.30pm and 6.30pm the practice will be closed.

All practice telephone calls will be covered by the 111 service. This is similar to all practices across Milton Keynes to allow for staff training.

During this time if you need medical help please call 111 and if you need emergency assistance, please call 999.

**Important Message**

We have taken your feedback about the procedure to cancel appointments and have made a big change to help!

We understand things change and you sometimes have to cancel an appointment so you’re making it super easy.

TO CANCEL ON THE DAY

If you need to cancel an appointment ON THE DAY you can call us on a new direct hotline. There is no menu or wait time and you get to speak to a cancellation administrator immediately.

This will enable us to cancel your appointment within seconds, so it can be re-used straight away.

We lose so many appointments because messages aren’t sent through in time or patients think they won’t get through.

The new cancellation hotline is 01234 988597 and someone will answer.

NOTE: You cannot rebook on this line or do anything other than cancel an appointment for that day. Please use it, as our appointments are so precious.

TO CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT NOT ON THE DAY:

There are 3 options -

-the quickest is to send a triage admin form in, and we will send you a booking link or call you to rebook.
- you can call and leave a message on option 1.
- you can pop in.

Please do try and follow our cancellation options as it makes a huge difference to the care we can give to you all.

***JUST A LITTLE REQUEST***

When sending a triage form in to the surgery, please ensure you only send it in once.

Recently, we have had a large amount of duplicate (and sometimes more) forms that have come in to us, asking for the same thing, but in a different way.

Please trust the process, and be reassured that we can almost guarantee we have received your form and will be actioning it.

Sending in another request or calling to ask if we have received it will only add more tasks for our receptionist and clinicians to manage and hold things up.

We did experience one of our messaging services going down yesterday, but we still receive forms in this instance.
