Practice Update
We have seen a few joiners and leavers this year, so we thought it would be a good time to update you all and also reassure you about the changes at the surgery.
With retirement, maternity leave and new opportunities arising for staff elsewhere, we have seen a few leave, but we have been supportive of their decisions and pleased for them, as these have been really positive life choices made by them.
We are a training practice and support development as much as we can as it can be of benefit to both staff and patients, and sometimes this does mean staff need to sadly move on to develop their careers further.
We will be saying goodbye to our amazing Pharmacist and ANP, Bobby and Michelle over the coming weeks and wish them all the best in the next chapters of their careers. We are sure they will be missed by all.
GP Trainee, Dr Ciara Doyle will also be moving on at the beginning of August, to take on her next placement and we say a sad farewell to her too.
However, where there have been leavers, there are joiners too, and we have been lucky to find 2 great new GPs to join our team as permanent fixtures. Dr Anand Moraji-Shah and Dr Alison Stanbridge have accepted posts, and we welcome them to the team.
We are also recruiting for new members of the team to fill our chronic disease and pharmacist posts and have already had lots of interest.
Many of you may have already had contact with our new Health and Well-being Co-ordinator, Megan. She is part of a new initiative within the surgery to help improve our overall health. We have lots of activities on their way to promote ways we can be the best that we can, physically and mentally. More details will follow.
Along with this, we are also making exciting plans to spend development funds to improve our surgery and the space that we have to offer. Watch out for the news about this.
Change can be daunting, especially if you use our services frequently and rely on us, but please be reassured that the team at Cobbs always works hard to provide you with the best possible care and support for you and your families, now and into the future.
