🥊 A BIG SHOUT OUT TO Golden Star Boxing Club Trillick 👏

These lads and ladies not only pack a punch in the ring, but they also gave The Line Doctor van a much-needed wash! 🧽💦

Fair play to the club for all the great work they do in the community – training young talent, promoting fitness, and keeping the local spirit alive. And sure, they even had time to make sure I wasn't driving around in a dirty van!

📍 GARRISON

Just a full reline for Mairead – fresh new line, job done ✅
No new wheels needed – her old ones were still grand, so we kept it simple and had her sorted.

Mairead is currently holidaying in France – but when she gets back, she'll be coming home to a brand new fully relined clothesline, ready for action! 🥖🧺
Nothing like coming back from holidays to a line that actually works. 😄

📜 A bit of history on Garrison:
The village sits on the shores of Lough Melvin, right on the border between County Fermanagh and County Leitrim. The name comes from an old military garrison that was stationed in the area during the Plantation of Ulster. The lough itself is famous for its rare gillaroo and sonaghan trout, which are found in only a handful of lakes in Ireland.

📜 A bit of history on Belleek:

The village takes its name from the Irish Béal Leice, meaning "mouth of the flagstone" – a nod to a natural flagstone crossing over the River Erne that was once used as a ford. During Cromwell's wars, a small pentagonal star fort was built here to protect the river passage.

In 1593, the Battle of Belleek – also known as the Battle of the Erne Fords – was fought nearby as part of the build‑up to the Nine Years' War.

Today, Belleek is world‑famous for Belleek Pottery, which began production in 1857 and remains the oldest pottery in Ireland.

And Ciaran's line? Now as smooth as fine porcelain. 😄

Some say her spirit still lingers in the waters… but Colleen's clothesline? That's in much better shape than Ceithlenn's swim ever was! 😄

📜 A bit of history on Ballintra:
The name comes from the Irish Baile an tSratha, meaning "town by the low-lying land along a river" – and sure enough, the village sits on the northern bank of the Blackwater River.

The village itself was laid out in the late 18th and early 19th century, with the local bridges dating back to the 1780s and 1790s. In 1837, it was described as having one street with about 90 houses and a population of 439. These days, it's a bit quieter – the 2016 census recorded 191 people – but Breda's line is now in better shape than it's been in years! 😄

📜 A bit of history on Buenos Aires, Argentina:
The name means "good air" or "fair winds" in Spanish – fitting, because John's line is now enjoying some of the best airflow in Tyrone! 🌬️

The city was founded back in 1536 by Spanish explorer Pedro de Mendoza. These days, Buenos Aires is famous for two things: football and tango. John's got the football part covered – and he's currently sweating over a 0-0 scoreline in the second half! 😬🕺

The name Carrybridge comes from the townland of Carry, meaning "causeway" or "rocky ford" – referring to an old crossing that existed long before the bridge was built. The bridge connects the island of Inishmore in Upper Lough Erne with the mainland.

Today, the area is a popular spot for boating, fishing, and walking – and on a good day, you'd swear you were anywhere but Fermanagh. Hazel's line now moves smoother than the boats on the lough! 😄

The village is home to the ruins of a 6th‑century abbey, founded by St. Náile – a lesser‑known saint who was said to have a way with cows. Legend has it he could calm a herd with a single word. Mark's line is now calmer than St. Náile's cattle ever were – and just as steady. 😄

Must be the price of my line that's got people talking...

📍 I'll be in Fermanagh tomorrow, so hopefully I'm welcomed with open arms – not open flames! 😅
