James McConnell

The family of the late James McConnell (Passed away 23rd May 2026) wish to express their sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised with them following their recent bereavement.
They are deeply grateful for the kindness shown through visits, phone calls, messages, sympathy cards, flowers, prayers, and for everyone who attended the funeral or paid their respects in any way. The love and support shown has brought great comfort during a very sad and difficult time.
James was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who was loved by so many. Knowing how much he meant to others and hearing the many stories and memories shared about him has been a source of strength to the family.
The family would also like to thank those who cared for him during his illness, the Palliative Care team at Omagh Hospital, North West Cancer Centre and all the nurses involved in the community care, and Fintona GP Practice. Thankyou everyone involved in making his funeral service such a fitting tribute to his life especially Rev. Graham Hare and Rev. Alexander Chisnell for their pastoral care before, during and after James's illness. The family would also like to thank the Organist Wendy Henderson, Ruth Monteith and the team at St.Columba's Hall for providing the refreshments after the funeral. An extended thankyou to Marty Corrigan of Mullaghmore Bakery for providing provisions and parking for the wake, his generousity was greatly appreciated. To all the friends and family at the wake who helped make tea and coffee- the family are eternally grateful for your willingness to help.
Final thanks goes to Armstrong Funeral Directors for their professional care and support with all of the funeral arrangements, the grave diggers for preparing James's final resting place and Judith Kempston of Floral Temptations for the beautiful floral arrangements.
