🌙 Our Art Journalling Workshop ✨

An evening to slow down, reconnect and make new connections.

The space was a judgement free zone, filled with honest conversation and reflection. Throughout the workshop, we explored how art journalling can be a gentle but powerful tool for sitting with complex emotions, as well as being present and mindful. It also supports a space for personal reflection and rewriting narratives.

Each participant left with a little piece of their experience - a goodie bag including a journal, candle, relaxing tea, treats and journalling prompts/ideas to explore within their own time.

✨ Art Journaling Workshop ✨

We are really excited to be hosting a relaxed and creative Art Journaling Workshop — a space to slow down, get creative and spend some time reflecting through art.

This workshop will explore journaling using scrap-booking, collage, and mixed media, so no art experience is needed. It’s all about expression, creativity and taking a little time for yourself.

🖌 What to expect:
• Guided journaling and creative exercises
• A welcoming, relaxed atmosphere
• Journals and materials provided (feel free to bring your own too!)
• Light refreshments provided

📍 Upstairs at Hygge Salon, Foundry Lane, Omagh
🕖 Thursday 2nd April | 6.30PM – 9PM
✨ £27.80 per person

Alongside the creative activities, we’ll also be gathering ideas and feedback to help shape future wellbeing programmes for Cairnview Studio.

Isn’t art therapy just.. doing art? 🤔

It’s a common question that people have! There is a few key differences to art therapy vs art as therapy. Both can be beneficial, but they serve different purposes.

Hi everyone! Thought I would come on and chat a bit about why we started Cairnview Studio CIC🌿

(I could make a lengthy blooper video with the amount of times I stumbled over my words making this 😅 😂)

Art journalling isn’t about being “good” at art. It is a form of art therapy that involves turning your thoughts into visual stories.

Sometimes it’s hard to find the words to describe how we feel - art journalling gives you permission to make “mistakes”, let go and create without judgement ✨

Take a look at our previous post about our upcoming workshop on the 2nd April - see if it’s something you would be curious to try 🎨

Hello everyone and welcome to cairnview studio! 🌿

Cairnview studio CIC is a community-focused art therapy space built around the belief of how creativity can support healing, connection and personal growth. Our aim is to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment that is not about skill or perfection, but rather exploration, compassion and expression.

Our name carries meaning. The cairn is a stack of stones, something that generally built piece by piece - often used as a marker for guidance, memory or shared journey. For us it symbolises the process of healing and creativity: each small step, mark made and story shared adds to something steady and supportive.

We are in the process of creating programmes for the future - It would mean a lot if you could take the time to fill out this survey so we can better understand how to benefit the community!
