Many thanks to Emily from Kent Police from visiting Pemberley Manor Care Home this morning.
Emily is a Fraud Prevention Officer and came along to talk to the residents about staying safe online and on the telephone.
Her presentation was informative and empowered the residents with the practical knowledge and confidence to spot scams and actions they need to take to keep themselves safe from fraud.

Today, the residents of Pemberley Manor Care Home were out and about on the Country Court minibus to visit local Garden Centres
Many thanks to Ruxley Manor Garden Centre and Polhill Garden Centre for their lovely welcome and for being so helpful!
Everyone had a lovely time, and we are now looking into which blubs to plant for a beautiful display in the Spring!
As always, special thanks to our driver Dennis who makes every trip so easy and so much fun!

A Very Special 100th Birthday Celebration!
Yesterday at Pemberley Manor Care Home , we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating a truly remarkable milestone, Jean’s 100th birthday!
For her special birthday, Jean celebrated with a party with family and friends which included a buffet lunch and live entertainment. There were plenty of smiles, laughter and wonderful memories shared.
Jean was also delighted to receive so many beautiful birthday cards, including a very special card from His Majesty the King - What an incredible keepsake for such an incredible milestone!
And a special thank you to our fantastic kitchen team for creating such a beautiful birthday cake and the delicious buffet.

‘Oh, I do like to be the seaside!’
Today, covered in Factor 50 suncream from head to toe. the residents of Pemberley Manor Care Home were out and about on the Country Court minibus on a trip to Eastbourne.
Our first stop was a fish and chip lunch at Harry Ramsden's, Eastbourne - Many thanks for a delicious lunch and to their staff members Ian and Natalie for exceptional customer service!
What we didn’t realise was it was Day 1 of Airbourne: Eastbourne International Airshow! We were amazed by the aeronautical displays, which included Spitfires and wing walkers on biplanes.
A day at the seaside wouldn’t be complete without a walk along the pier and a visit to the amusements and that is how we finished our day before getting back on the bus. We sang our way home listening to Nat King Cole, Fats Domino and Patsy Cline.

As part of Country Court in Bloom, today we have been flower arranging with beautiful blooms from Freddie's Flowers
Today’s arrangement was called Summer Berries and our boxes contained Roses, Carnations, Alstroemeria, Santini, Limonium and Gladiolus – The smells were beautiful and gave the residents of Pemberley Manor Care Home such a sensory experience - The conversation flowed, memories were shared and beautiful flowers were arranged into something special, which are now on display around the home.
It was such a lovely morning and thank you to the families and friends who joined us - Our community at Pemberley is growing everyday! 🌹🌷🌹🌷🌹🌷
