Bromley Healthcare

Bromley Healthcare We provide community health and care services in Bromley, Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham. Our ethos and unique approach has contributed to our success.

We provide community health services in Bromley, Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham. We're a social enterprise formed of over 1,000 people delivering high-quality NHS services. We believe in putting clinicians in the driving seat and empowering front-line staff to make decisions about how services should be run. This has made us patient-focused and efficient, taking the best that the NHS has to offer,

removing some of the bureaucracy and focussing on quality healthcare. We provide services in clinics, hospitals, community settings, nursing homes and other many other places.

We were proud to participate in this year's Pride in London event alongside our friends at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust! On Saturday, we joined thousands of people in celebrating inclusion, visibility and equality, while also recognising the continued importance of advocacy and allyship.

Pride remains both a celebration and a reminder of the progress still to be made. It offers an opportunity for people to come together, express themselves authentically and show support for LGBTQ+ communities.

The day was a wonderful celebration of progress and we are greatly looking forward to building on this next year and beyond.

Congratulations to our REACH (Race Equality and Cultural Heritage) Network for winning Staff Network of the Year at the South East London ICS Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Awards 2026!

The award recognises the team's outstanding work in driving equality, diversity and inclusion across Bromley Healthcare. We were also delighted to see our Sickle Cell team receive Highly Commended in the Community Impact in EDI category, while our Inclusion and Wellbeing Lead Donya Gaye returned to the awards as a presenter following her Rising Star win last year.

A fantastic achievement for everyone involved and a testament to the positive impact they continue to make for our colleagues, patients and communities.

Last week, we proudly celebrated 56 colleagues who have each devoted over 30 years of service to the NHS.

It was wonderful to come together, reflect on the impact these colleagues have had across Bromley Healthcare and the NHS, and say a heartfelt thank you. Their dedication, commitment and care over the years have made a lasting difference to our patients, our communities, and to each other. We are so grateful for everything they have given.

Hear from some of our colleagues as they share how the journey's been and what's inspired them to stay.

World Parkinson's Day took place over the weekend. As of now, there are approximately 166,000 people diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in the UK. This number is expected to rise to around 173,000 by 2030 as the population ages.

Each person with Parkinson’s presentation will differ, however, generally people will have similar difficulties relating to speech, language and swallowing.

Speech and language therapists are a crucial part of the multidisciplinary team that helps people affected by Parkinson’s, and their families and carers, to manage their condition, offering support to manage communication and swallowing problems and maintain their quality of life. Please reach out to an SLT if you require support with any aspects of swallowing or communication.
