I’m not gonna lie, these last few months have been pretty stressful.

When you’re repeatedly losing your voice and not because of a virus or infection, but because your nervous system is so overwhelmed and dysregulated, then you have to stop and start to pay attention to what your body is trying to tell you.

Time away from my NHS role provided the opportunity to re-evaluate things. Don’t get me wrong, I love being a physio and working with complex kids, but this was never what I set out to do. The way services are moving doesn’t sit well with me and to sit back and effectively ‘do as I’m told’, well, those that know me know how that’s gonna go 🤣

Having had time to re-focus, I’ve set some things in motion. Reducing my NHS hours gives me some needed head space from the bureaucracy whilst being able to continue work with some of our most vulnerable children. Plus they’re just bloody amazing little humans that make that crap worth while ☺️

I can now have more dedicated time for my private clients, people & pet, and there’s some exciting wheels in motion for some upcoming Rehab Clinics in different locations, alongside some new services, so keep your eyes peeled 👀

However I have to be true to myself and many moons ago it was always my intention to be a Vet Physio.

🌟🌟 So starting today I can confirm that I’m finally enrolled to do the Animal Physiotherapy course 🙌🏻 🌟 🌟

All finished and ready for installation 🥰

Multi textured SE combo with crochet, double twist, braided& twisted locs.

This is my first time attempting locs and to be completely transparent the crochet ones are not mine. This is a technique that I’m still learning and until then I’ll continue to source these externally.

Now this isn’t some new big venture either. I’ve been trained in hair extensions for about 15yrs and was a service I offered with Hair & Make-Up many moons ago. Loc extensions is a hobby for me. I’ve installed many over the years for friends, family and at events, and have began wearing them again myself.

But I do always get asked about my hair and who does it, and well, now you know 🥰

Always happy to carry out installations and if you fancy trying out the twisted locs, I can whip up a custom set of those for you too ☺️

Today I took on Apple…. And won 🙌🏻😂

20yrs ago Apple brought in the iCloud email address. I already had the me.com email, but you could use both.

Except somehow they managed to merge my account with someone and I started getting their emails.

I contacted Apple, they assured me it was spam, that accounts couldn’t be merged and informed me nothing could be or needed to be done.

A yr or so later the content of these emails became apparently personal, when I discovered a number of unsolicited 🍆 pics being sent. Furious, I called Apple again but hit the same response.

So for yrs now I’ve had to just use that email address for spam but still get personal emails for the other person.

Well I’d really like to get an iPad for business use, but I have a legal responsibility to ensure that any client data that I may receive and that includes your emails, is secure. I wasn’t convinced that my Apple account is secure, so again contacted Apple. Except now we have had changes in GDPR legislation and I’m pretty well informed with the requirements and responsibilities.

Initially I got the same historical response, until I then requested a full escalation as per GDPR/ICO guidance with a full report of the investigation that they are required to carry out within 1 month. Following which they would be formally reported as having breached GDPR legislation and my concerns would be escalated with the ICO.

Funny how suddenly they were able to create me a whole new email address, assign it to my account and remove the two previous emails to ensure full security.

I can now safely say all data that will be on any of my devices is fully secure and compliant with GDPR legislation 🙌🏻

Now to go shopping 🤣🤣

Treating a head laceration with Photizo UK - LED Light Therapy Devices
Day 3: Abscess developed and emptied in the space of a few hours. All cleaned out and will continue with his daily red light for another 7 days

Yesterday was Day3 of Eddie’s mystery head wound. He’s on antibiotics as a precaution due to not knowing how he sustained it. It’s been flushed daily with salt water followed by some Calendula Tincture. He’s also on some Arnica and Calendula homeopathy. I’ve applied Photizo UK - LED Light Therapy Devices each night too. Last night his noticeable lump exploded 🤢🤮

While you might be thinking that’s a bad thing, actually it’s really good! For it to come through so quickly is a sign his body is healing and dealing with it well. It was not foul smelling just a bit yucky.

I applied a hot poultice to get it all out and again flushed with salt water and applied Calendula tincture. It was oozing in the night and clearly annoying him (and me with his constant flubbery shaking 🤣) so I managed to get him bandaged up. No I’m not gonna win any bandaging awards but do you know how tricky dressing a head is?! 🤣 anyway he’s doing alright and we’ll continue with his red light regime and meds for a while longer
