When your favourite time of year and one of the questions you're asked most often at work suddenly collide… 😂🎄

“Am I just eating because I'm bored?”

Only 114 sleeps until Christmas! 🎅🎄

Anyone else already getting excited. Please tell me I'm not alone. 🤪

Come on who knows what CHRISTMAS film it is from?

What goes first when life gets busy?

🍴Eating well
🏃Exercise
💤Sleep
🕤Or simply making time for yourself

I probably spend more time talking to my slimmers about the impact of real life than I do talking about food and dieting!

Because they're all connected.

And the lovely thing is, when we start working together and gradually break that cycle, the effects can reach much further than the number on the scales.

I always think of it like throwing a pebble into still water.

One small change creates a ripple and those ripples keep spreading.

More energy might mean you move more.

Feeling better might mean you make more time for yourself.

Sleeping better might make everything else feel that little bit easier.

Sometimes one small change really can be the beginning of something much bigger.

For you what tends to go first for you when life gets busy?

I really can't be bothered to cook dinner.

Yes, I feel like that too.

Especially after a busy day, or when I need a decent tea before I'm working again in the evening.

That's why I love batch cooking.

There's something very satisfying about knowing you've got an easy meal waiting for you. You know exactly what's gone into it, you can portion it out, and there's no standing in the kitchen wondering what on earth to make.

It's also brilliant for busy mums when everyone seems to be eating at different times.

Or when one of the kids suddenly announces their friend is staying for dinner. With about 10 minutes' notice, obviously!

And it can save you pounds in more ways than one.

💷 Pounds in your purse because you're less likely to grab a takeaway or convenience food.

⚖️ And potentially pounds around your waist because you've already got a portion-controlled meal ready to go.

A little bit of time cooking once can make several busy evenings so much easier.

Would some easy batch cooking ideas be useful? Let me know and I'll share some.

🍂 Does September feel more like a fresh start than January to anyone else?

There’s something about getting back into a routine after summer that makes September feel like a bit of a reset.

It’s actually one of my busiest months as a local weight loss coach. Some people come back ready for a restart, while others decide it’s finally time for their first start.

And I get it. There’s something about September that brings that right, I’m ready to do something for me feeling.

For me, that might simply be fitting in a quick evening walk and hopefully squeezing in one more trip to The Great Orme too! 🤞

It doesn’t have to be a huge change.

What could you do this month to bring a little bit of focus back to you 💗

What could you do this month to bring a little bit of focus back to you?

Does September feel more like a fresh start than January to anyone else? 🍂

There's something almost empowering about getting back into a routine after the summer.

September is actually one of my busiest months as a local weight-loss coach. Even though it is busy I will try and fit in one more trip to The Great Orme. 🤞

People come back for a restart, while others decide it's finally time for their first start.

Maybe it's the return to routine, but September always seems to bring that I'm ready to do something feeling. For me it's a quick evening walk.

Does anyone else feel like September is their fresh-start month?

I HAVEN’T GOT TIME TO LOSE WEIGHT.
Sound familiar? 👀

Work. Family. Appointments. Housework. DIY. Life.
Sometimes there genuinely aren’t enough hours in the day.

But what if a little planning could actually give you some time back?

Less wondering what to eat.
Fewer emergency supermarket trips.
Fewer last-minute takeaways.
Quick options ready for the crazy days.

Instead of asking:
❌ How am I supposed to find the time?
Try:
💗 What could I do to make this easier?
You don't need a perfectly organised life to start making changes.

Sometimes a little preparation today makes tomorrow a whole lot easier.

I learnt this in between house refurb, garden redesign, general household stuff, fur mum, family needs and work. Yes this photo of me is health and safety gone astray. I did get the stepladder out in the end!

Does anyone else have clothes in three different sizes in their wardrobe?

There's the favourite pair that I'll get back into one day.

Then, when you've successfully lost weight, there are the bigger ones you keep just in case.

Why do we do it?
Please tell me I'm not the only one. How many hide in your wardrobe? 👖

Before we rush into September let’s give August a little credit.

What are you proud of from this month?

And it absolutely doesn’t have to be about the scales.

Maybe you got back into a routine, made a few healthier choices, drank more water, moved a little more or simply kept going through a difficult or busy month.

Maybe you’ve had a brilliant August and smashed your goals.

Maybe things haven’t quite gone to plan, but you’ve recognised that you’re ready to make yourself a priority again.

Or maybe your biggest win has absolutely nothing to do with weight or food.

We’re often very quick to focus on what we haven’t done and forget to celebrate what we have.

So before we start thinking about September. Let's think about August.

What’s ONE thing you’re proud of from August?

Big or small, it all counts. 💕

I haven't got time to lose weight.

I've said it too. Work. Family. DIY. Appointments. Jobs around the house.

Sometimes there genuinely doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day.

But here's something I've learnt. Sometimes, a little bit of planning can actually give you time back.

Less time wondering what to eat.

Fewer last-minute supermarket dashes or emergency takeaways.

Batch cooking when it works for you.

Having a few quick and easy options ready for the days when life doesn't go to plan.

We're all busy, and sometimes life really DOES get in the way.

The key is noticing when you hear yourself saying it and changing the question.

Instead of I haven't got time try asking what could I do to make this easier?

Sometimes a little bit of preparation today can actually give you more time tomorrow.
