The Movement Centre is a charity helping children to achieve movement control. Most of us take for granted the ability to control our heads, to sit, stand and walk, however children with cerebral palsy, or other developmental delays, require specialist therapy to help them achieve these. Drawing on specialist physiotherapists and bio-engineers, the Centre has pioneered Targeted Training. Targeted Training is a unique, highly effective and evidence based movement control therapy that works.

Today, we want to shine a spotlight on an extraordinary person taking on an extraordinary challenge for our centre.

Meet Terry, who is currently walking the incredible distance from John O’Groats to Land’s End which is around 1,200 miles!

When you think back to all the adverse weather we’ve had to deal with, just imagine what Terry has experienced on his journey, from the stormy mountains of Scotland to the dry, scorching conditions of the recent heatwave. 🌧️☀️

Terry's journey began back in May, and every single day brings something new. Terry is taking it all in his stride, showing incredible determination, resilience and commitment. We are so incredibly proud for everything he is doing to support our centre. 💙

She was supplied with a standing frame in February to begin her 12 month course of Targeted Training therapy to work on her improving her trunk, pelvic and lower limb control. Also, she has achieved her goal of pulling to stand.
