Like a lot of parents who had been the primary carer of the kids, I found the idea of losing that role and that time with them really hard.

But, I worked through that, and I’m now an advocate for 50-50 custody being the default position to negotiate from.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your separation or divorce, and want to learn how to find moments of calm and steadiness amidst the chaos, then let’s talk.

Your nervous system is built to handle ups and downs.

There is a lot of “calm your nervous system” talk in wellness right now (including from me!), but the intention is not to turn you into a chilled-out zombie. It is to give you tools to more steadily navigate the full spectrum of human experience and emotions.

A good life is a life filled with challenge and contrast. Not a life where you never feel challenged.

That’s why I share calming, grounding, and re-connecting practices with people going through separation and divorce. Not to dampen feelings, but allow them to be present, felt, and processed.

The high drama aspects of separation and divorce might not be as bad as the long slow death of your relationship.

That period of time when you know - KNOW - it’s dead, and yet you continue to live, like a ghost, within the systems you created out of love and unity.

It’s a horrible, hopeless time. And yet, it is still something that needs to be let go of and grieved after separation and divorce.

It can also be incredibly disorienting to emerge from that life into an unknown one, that for all its possibilities and potential, feels scary and unsettling.

If this is you now, then there is a link in my bio to book a free call with me in which you can share your story and learn what might help to settle and steady yourself as you move into your next chapter.

I work with men and women navigating separation and divorce. We use body-led practices to settle the nervous system, feel what needs to be felt, and find the strength and steadiness to move on.

You get an explanation for their behaviour…and then what? You suddenly feel ok?

Labels, explanations…they can only go so far (and they can only be loose diagnoses anyway).

So what else do you need?

For me, it was being able to put all the questions, analysis, thought loops down…and come back to myself.

Moving my body, using breath to find calm, spending time in the uncomplicated quiet wisdom of my ever-present body.

Quiet. Stillness. Presence

Can one person be entirely responsible for a relationship breaking down?

If you have had a relationship with someone who lies, gaslights, belittles, and refuses to engage with facts and commonly observed truths, then you will know how hard it is to live in an age where we are meant to explore, analyse and own “what we brought to the equation”.

If you can relate, and still feel confused and lost as a result of the relationship, then let’s talk. Link in my bio for free call.
