This Good Care Month, meet Hannah, one of the friendly faces behind our care team πŸ’œ

Hannah joined Crossroads Home Care back in 2018, bringing with her a Level 4 qualification in mental health and social care, along with personal experience caring for her own mum.
Though new to professional care work at the time, she completed her Care Certificate on the job and quickly became a valued member of our team, specialising in older people's care.

When we asked what she loves most about working at Crossroads Home Care, she told us: "I love the flexibility of working with Crossroads. They are always helpful if I need to manage my work around my childcare."

Thank you, Hannah, for everything you bring to the team! πŸ€—

This Good Care Month, meet Charles, one of the newest members of our Crossroads Home Care team. πŸ’œ

Charles joined us in November 2025, bringing with him an unexpected but valuable background: he was previously a qualified Physics Teacher.
That experience gave him strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with the patience and calm he now brings to caring for children and individuals with additional needs.

🎢 A little more about Charles: his favourite colour is white, he's a football fan, and outside of work you'll find him with a keen interest in science and politics, plus a love for gospel, Afro hip-hop, and R&B music!

Thank you, Charles, for the dedication and warmth you bring to Crossroads Home Care! πŸ™Œ πŸ€—

This Good Care Month, meet Mary, a familiar and trusted face across our care team πŸ’œ

After moving from the North to the South in 1989, Mary began her career in care as a care assistant in a hospital setting. She later studied social work and care management in Oxford before joining Crossroads Home Care.

Today, Mary's role goes far beyond personal care. She administers medication, supports meal preparation and household tasks, accompanies clients on shopping trips, liaises with GPs and other services to keep her clients safe, and even helps them stay connected with friends.

When we asked what she finds most rewarding about her job, Mary told us: "My job is rewarding, we make a real difference to people's lives on a daily basis."

Thank you, Mary, for everything you do! πŸ™Œ πŸ€—

This Good Care Month, we're shining a light on the people who make Crossroads Home Care so special, say hello to Paula Jayne Bate πŸ’œ

Paula joined our Newbury team back in 2022, and this August marks four years of dedication to the families she supports.

When asked what she loves most about her job, Paula told us: "The interaction with my clients. As we spend time with the same clients each week, we have the opportunity to build relationship and trust with them. My aim is to put a smile on their face and bring some enjoyment during the couple of hours that I sit with them each week. I count it a great privilege and honour to be entrusted with their care while their carers enjoy a well earned break."

Paula, your care and dedication don't go unnoticed! πŸ™ŒπŸ€—
