Oxford Aunts Care

Oxford Aunts Care Providing home care throughout a wide area for over 50 years. This is just not true. It is very different with live-in care.

Our reputation is built on high standards of live-in care, local expertise and an approach to care delivery that has been trusted by thousands of families. EXPERIENCED CARERS WHO TRULY GET TO KNOW YOU
We are very proud of our dedicated carers, most of whom have worked for Oxford Aunts for many years. All our carers have previous care experience before they join us and we provide them with comprehe

nsive training before they come and care for you. Our carers will live with you to provide care and support for a longer period than might be offered by other live-in care providers. We know that this gives an opportunity for a strong relationship to be formed and a deeper understanding of our clients’ needs, both of which offer consistency and continuity of care. EXCEPTIONAL SPECIALIST CARE OF COMPLEX CONDITIONS
Unlike other local live-in care providers we are experts in providing specialist care of complex conditions that affect older people including dementia, Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis (MS), or for those recovering from a stroke or for those who need cancer care or palliative care. All our carers are experienced in the care of conditions so you can be assured that care is highly personalised to your specific needs. THE HOME YOU LOVE IS BEST FOR PERSONALISED ONE-TO-ONE CARE
Many families in Oxfordshire, and throughout the country believe the only choice they have when a family member or loved one needs care is that they must leave their much-loved home and move into a care home. The Live-in Care Hub conducted a survey in 2017 and found that 97% of people given the choice, would prefer to carry on living in their own home with the support of a carer. Live-in care is becoming better understood and popular as a real alternative to moving into a residential home. With live-in care provided by Oxford Aunts you can be assured of a high-quality live-in care service provided by a trusted and established provider – a service that has benefited many families for many years. There are countless life-enriching benefits to staying at home with a highly trained and experienced carer who is dedicated to you, instead of facing the upset and worry of moving into a care or nursing home. With an Oxford Aunts carer you will be able to live life your way with as much independence as possible, with a tailored plan of care delivered by a compassionate carer on a one-to-one basis – this just simply cannot be offered in a care home. Life in a care home can be very restrictive – you will have little choice as to when you get up, when you eat your meals and when you can have visitors and socialise. We have been helping our clients to continue to live with freedom and choice that means they can lead a better quality of life with all the support they need. A FULLY MANAGED SERVICE PROVIDES PEACE OF MIND
At Oxford Aunts we know how worrying it can be when organising long term care – we just want our loved one to receive the best care and live a good life. When choosing a live-in care provider, you have a choice as to whether you use an introduction agency or fully managed service provider like Oxford Aunts. Our fully managed and regulated live-in care service means our carers are directly employed and managed by us whilst they are caring for you. They are supported by a care management team made up of care experts who ensure they are supervised and supported to provide the high standards of care our clients should expect. If you use an introduction agency you will be left to manage the carer, pay them and organise holiday cover once you are introduced to them and they start to care for you. For the many families that Oxford Aunts supports, we know this provides lots of reassurance whilst removing the burden of having to carefully manage the care arrangement for their family member or loved one.

Supporting someone to remain in the place they know and love is about so much more than practical care. It's about building trust, preserving independence, and creating meaningful moments every day.

We're incredibly grateful to this family for sharing their experience and proud of the compassion, patience and dedication shown by one of our carers. Seeing a 97-year-old regain confidence, enjoy regular outings, and experience a renewed sense of wellbeing is exactly the impact we strive to make 💙

When people hear “home care”, there are often a lot of assumptions. The truth is, home care can be a flexible, personalised way to help someone stay safe, comfortable and independent in the place they know best, their own home 🏡

Myth: Home care means losing independence.
Reality: The right support can help people maintain routines, choices and confidence at home for longer.

Myth: It’s only for people with very high care needs.
Reality: Home care can range from companionship and help around the house to personal care and more specialist support.

Myth: Moving into residential care is the only option.
Reality: For many families, home care offers a reassuring alternative that keeps loved ones in familiar surroundings, close to the people, pets and routines they love.

At Oxford Aunts, we understand that every family’s situation is different. That’s why we provide tailored home care designed around individual needs, preferences and daily life.

If you’re exploring care options for a loved one, we’re here to help you understand what’s possible. 💙

Having live-in care doesn't mean giving up the things you love. In fact, with the right support, many people can continue enjoying their favourite hobbies and staying active in their local community.

Whether it's attending a gardening club, meeting friends for coffee, visiting local art classes, or enjoying regular walks in familiar places, a live-in carer can provide the reassurance and practical support needed to keep doing what matters most.

At Oxford Aunts, we believe care should be about enabling independence, maintaining connections, and helping people live life on their own terms.

Because the best care doesn't just happen at home - it helps you stay connected to the community around you. 💙
