What has been your act of self care today?

“Boredom, anger, sadness, or fear are not 'yours,' not personal. They are conditions of the human mind. They come and go. Nothing that comes and goes is you.” —Eckhart Tolle

Are you searching for peace?
Is your life busy? Do you feel overwhelmed?
Very often we search for peace in a place, like in nature. Whilst a change of emvironment can be helpful, what it often does is creates space and permission for you to slow down switch off from the outside world and start the process of looking within. Looking within can be scary, initially, but understanding and learning to navigate you happy place inside you can be a game changer. When the mind and body becomes less busy and feels safe, we can begin to find peace.

I am wonderful, worthy and wise. Just for fun, pick a letter, any letter, and write 3 positive words about yourself. The more you do it, the easier it becomes. Your nervous system will thank you too!

Many people people think of material things as wealth. However these things become less significant when you lose your health. We realise how important health is when it is impacted by chronic illness. Without it we struggle to do the things that lead to other forms of wealth.
Chasing health can be a tricky business when you have limited energy. If we are not careful, looking for answers, pushing and fighting for health can become exhausting and counter productive.
Our top tip for the day is to be gentle with yourself and go slowly, focusing on prioritising keeping in that rest and digest healing state. Trust yourself, rather than worrying whether you are doing things right. The Chrysalis Effect Program and community is here to support you every step of the way

None of us have perfect lives. Things get hard, but if we can notice the good, we can change the way we think and feel. By adding new perspectives it can help us challenge how things are.

So today, I repeat the conversation I had with Alison McGrath. Our illness was a gift. It helped us learn, grow and change our lives. This is what I'm grateful for.

With warm wishes
Sally.
