We were going to open the Hugs 4 Free Pre-loved Boutique shop this afternoon but a change in circumstances means we now cant do that.

Bringing the community together with the power of good food!

On the 9th of September, our lovely Community Champions, Sushma Solanki and Vivien Storey, are hosting Community Cookery Event at Padiham Town Hall, and everyone is welcome.

The event will combine teaching people practical cooking skills with a shared commitment to reducing food waste. It's a great opportunity to come together in the community and learn a new skill.

Events like these help strengthen our neighbourhoods while promoting healthy eating and sustainability!

IMPORTANT NOTICE.

As you are all aware, the hub has had to close for the last few weeks.

This was a result of a few incidents over a 2 week period.

We are pleased to tell you that we will be reopening this Thursday and our free activities will be back to normal.

We sadly have had to shut a life line to padiham for nearly 4 weeks and its already made a massive impact to our community.

REMINDER

Every single person that gives up their precious time is a volunteer.

Even our owner Vivien Mickey Storey and manager Kay-Leigh Boult dont get paid. Yet they continually give up their time to provide a service to the community and strive to combat poor mental health and lonliness, along with their amazing team of volunteers.

Unfortunately our services will change from today regarding open door foodbank and this makes us terribly sad.

Foodbank will now be once per week on Thursdays between 1pm and 3pm and only 1 person from a household will be able to collect.

Unfortunately we can not allow people to come for food bank while we are running activities. It isn't fair to disrupt the people that are their for activities and its not fair for the person collecting.

Bags will be made up, handed over at the door and you will only be able to collect if you have self refered through messenger or some one or another service have referred you.

We will not tolerate abuse and any disrespect to our volunteers will not be accepted. This behaviour Unfortunately will result in the person not being able to return.

Anyone coming through the hubs door demanding food or when its not been arranged as we know there will be emergency referrals will not recieve a food parcel.

We are devastated that we have had to take these steps but the safety of our volunteers and service users is paramount.

We will be trying to get all our uniform that is left out tomorrow and laying it out at the hub for anyone that needs it.

I will pics on of what we have and if you are in need please feel free to come and collect.

We have a unity blazer and tie, shuttleworth item. Lots of trousers and skirts
