We are here to help at The Foot Clinic. Our desire to help people is what seperates us from the rest. We will make time to expedite appointments for those that are in need to be seen due to significant pain.

NHS waiting list times are becoming increasingly longer with18 week waits for an appointment for nail surgery. We could provide this in most cases within 1 week.

We also provide other services at the clinic that can be seen in most cases within 1 week including ultrasound scanning and guided steroid injections for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, nerve conditions and osteo arthritis.

A big thank you to our followers but most of all to our patients, as this is our busiest month since the clinic began almost 30 years ago!

This month will see over 500 patients attend our clinic for podiatry services ranging from our regular foot care to vascular appointments, nail surgeries and MSK (Foot pain) clinics.

Which type of forefoot shape have you got?

The subject of forefoot shape is commonly overlooked and even not on the radar for the majority of podiatrists, its relevance is never taught in universities. For me it is arguably one of the most important factors for whether you will suffer from painful and problematic feet.

The shape will dictate where lesions present, whether they are as benign as a corn or as potentially harmful as ulceration. The length of the toes will also influence whether nails become damaged and influence causing other issues that become commonly become painful in the forefoot eg neuroma, plantar plate tears.

It is therefore of significant importance to make sure that the shoe you have is suited to your foot, whether relating to the width, depth or shape of the toes box. Having adequate fitting footwear is key to long term reduction of pain and will also help avoid deformity.
