Children's bodies are constantly growing and changing - and chiropractic care can be part of supporting that journey.

From the physical demands of a first school bag to sports, falls, and the many tumbles of childhood - young bodies go through a lot. Chiropractic care for children is gentle, adapted to their age and stage of development, and focused on supporting healthy movement and musculoskeletal function.

Dr Katie, Doctor of Chiropractic, has experience working with children and takes a patient, unhurried approach. If you have questions about whether chiropractic care might be appropriate for your child, we're always happy to chat it through before booking.

Taking time to slow down and care for yourself can have a powerful impact on how you feel 🀍

Thank you for sharing this lovely experience with Caitlin. Creating a calm, welcoming space where you can relax, ask questions, and feel supported is at the heart of every treatment she provides.

We're delighted to hear this lymphatic massage felt both therapeutic and restorative. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves is the opportunity to pause, recharge, and focus on our own wellbeing.

✨ Caitlin offers holistic therapies from our Paisley clinic. Book your appointment via the link in our bio.

Pelvic pain during pregnancy is more common than many people realise - and more manageable too.

It can show up as discomfort across the front or back of the pelvis, pain when walking, turning over in bed, or going up stairs. It's often brushed off as 'just part of pregnancy' - but while it's common, it isn't something you simply have to endure.

Chiropractic care during pregnancy is gentle and adapted to each stage of your journey. Katie, Doctor of Chiropractic, has experience supporting expectant mums with pelvic and lower back discomfort, using approaches that are appropriate throughout pregnancy. Research published in journals including Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica has explored the management of pelvic girdle pain, and a tailored approach to care can make a real difference to day-to-day comfort.

Summer tends to bring a burst of activity - and your body needs to be ready for it.

Whether it's getting back into running, spending longer days on your feet, tackling the garden, or keeping up with children who have boundless energy on the school holidays - the warmer months often mean more physical demand. For many people, that's when ni**les that have been quietly brewing start to make themselves known.

Proactive chiropractic care can help you stay on top of how your body is coping with increased activity. Dr Katie, Doctor of Chiropractic, can assess how you're moving and address any areas of tension or restriction before they become a bigger issue - so you can make the most of summer without being held back.

Your spine does a remarkable amount of work - most of it without you even noticing.

It provides structure, protects your spinal cord, and allows the full range of movement you rely on from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep. When it's functioning well, you barely give it a second thought. When it's not, it has a way of making itself known.

Understanding how your spine works is the first step in taking care of it. At Connected Chiropractic, Katie, Doctor of Chiropractic, takes time to explain what she finds during assessment in plain language - so you leave each appointment understanding your body a little better, not just feeling better.

The golf season is well underway and the clinic has been buzzing with golfers getting prepped for trips and making the most of the weather. πŸŒοΈβ€β™€οΈ

This month on the blog I've gone deeper into the two areas of the body that I keep coming back to with my golfing patients: the thoracic spine and the hips.

A stiff mid-back means the body borrows rotation from the lower back instead. Do that repeatedly at speed and back pain is almost inevitable.

Tight hips mean the power chain breaks down before it even gets started.

Chiropractic care won't fix your swing. But it can help your body stop getting in the way of it.

Head to the blog to read the full post, link in bio. And if you're dealing with a ni**le or just want to move better this season, come and see me in Paisley or Stewarton. β›³

From bump to baby and beyond - your family's health matters at every stage.

At Connected Chiropractic, we love being part of families' health journeys - from supporting mums during pregnancy, to postnatal recovery, to caring for little ones as they grow. It's one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Infant chiropractic care is gentle, safe, and adapted entirely to the needs of a baby's developing system. Many parents bring their babies in following birth - particularly after longer or more complex deliveries - simply to have them assessed and supported. Dr Katie, Doctor of Chiropractic, has experience supporting families at all stages, and we're proud to be a welcoming, community-focused space where every member of your family feels at home.

A wellbeing routine isn't a luxury. It's an investment in how you feel.

The people who tend to feel and function at their best have simply built consistent habits - movement they enjoy, food that nourishes them, sleep they prioritise, and regular care that keeps them moving well.

At Connected Chiropractic, we see ourselves as one part of that bigger picture. Regular chiropractic care with our Doctors of Chiropractic, can help you stay on top of how your spine and joints are functioning. Massage therapy with Finn or Caitlin can support recovery, ease tension, and create space to decompress. Together, they offer a joined-up approach to feeling your best.

Headaches are common - but that doesn't mean they should be ignored.

Many people manage recurring headaches by simply reaching for pain relief - and while that can help short term, it doesn't always address why they're happening. Tension-type headaches and cervicogenic headaches (those that originate from the neck) both have musculoskeletal components that chiropractic consultation may be able to address.

Research published in peer-reviewed journals has explored the role of spinal manipulation in the management of certain headache types. As with all care at Connected Chiropractic, this would begin with a thorough assessment to understand your individual situation.
