As we reach the last day of , we want to share an example of why it's so important that every mum and parent has access to the evidence-based information and support they need to make their own decisions around breastfeeding.

With knowledge and support from BfN, Meghan was able to breastfeed her baby after investigative surgery under general anaesthetic - thank you so much for sharing 💜

begins today with the theme "Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works". Sustainability goes hand in hand with consistency and it is important that anyone breastfeeding is taking the right vitamins and supplements for their own health and the longevity of that feeding relationship.

Our brand new factsheet on vitamins and supplements helps cut through the noise and focus on what we have an evidence base for when it comes to considering what vitamins and supplements to introduce: for example, daily vitamin D is recommended while you are breastfeeding.
