The concept of Sterling Care Homes Ltd was born out of a deep desire - one that recognised the increasing need for specialist care homes that would deliver significant improvements to the quality of life of older people rather than institutionalise them. Our aim was, and continues t

o be, to provide the quality of care that would be good enough for a member of our own family—a type of care that promotes living without losing one’s independence or giving up lifestyle choices to live in a secure environment.

Joyce, one of our lovely residents, enjoyed a wonderful trip out with Julie, our Lifestyle Leader. They had a lovely wander around the local shops, where Joyce had lots of fun trying on a variety of hats and sharing plenty of smiles along the way. 👒😊

Afterwards, they stopped at a local café for a relaxing cup of tea and a chat. It’s the little moments like these that make such special memories and bring so much joy. 💜☕

The Daily Sparkle is a wonderful reminiscence resource, designed to spark conversations, stimulate memories, encourage social interaction and support wellbeing for older people, including those living with dementia. It’s always lovely to see the smiles and hear the stories it inspires. ❤️

Meaningful activities like these help promote confidence, connection and cognitive stimulation while creating special moments to share together. 💙

We’re delighted to welcome Julie to the Nightingale House family as our new Lifestyle Leader! 💙

Julie brings four years of experience as an Activity Coordinator and says it’s the most rewarding job she’s ever had.

“I thrive on building relationships with residents and helping them get the most out of their lives. I hope to bring lots of fun, laughter, crafting, baking, gardening and plenty of music to Nightingale House, along with anything else the residents might like.”

Julie is passionate about creating meaningful experiences, making every day enjoyable, and ensuring our residents have opportunities to do the things they love.

Three Lions, One Great Afternoon! 🏴⚽

Some of our residents who are from England enjoyed watching their country play. Some chose to watch the match in the comfort of their own rooms, while some enjoyed the game in our cinema room.

To make the occasion even more special, we made England flags and enjoyed some tasty snacks while cheering on the team.

A lovely afternoon filled with football, fun, and great company! ❤️🤍

☀️💦 What else were we supposed to do on the hottest day in Paisley?… Have a water fight of course! 💦☀️

With temperatures reaching an all-time high, residents and staff at Nightingale House Care Home made the most of the sunshine with plenty of laughter, smiles and a good old-fashioned water fight! 😄

It was a fantastic way to cool down, have fun and create some wonderful memories together. ❤️
