🚨 Bank Holiday Reminder 🚨

Just a reminder that Gilbert Pharmacy & Health Clinic will be closed on Monday, 3rd August for the Bank Holiday.

💊 Need your medication? Please remember to order and collect your prescriptions before the Bank Holiday to make sure you have everything you need.

If you require additional help on this day please call 111 or use NHS inform to locate another pharmacy open on this day.

🕘 We will reopen at our usual time on Tuesday, 4th August, and our team will be ready to help.

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately, and I wanted to explain why.

Partly because we experienced some harassment, which took a little of the joy out of sharing online. But mostly because we’ve been doing what we love best… being there for our patients. We’ve simply been busy pharmacying! (I know that’s not actually a word!)

When I opened Gilbert Pharmacy & Health Clinic, I had one dream. I didn’t just want to create another pharmacy—I wanted to create a place where people felt they belonged. A place where we know your name before we know your prescription. Where we ask about your family, celebrate your achievements, remember your worries, and of course, make a fuss of every dog that walks through the door.

Community pharmacy is so much more than dispensing medicines. It’s about sharing life’s biggest moments with the people who trust us.
We’ve held hands through difficult conversations. We’ve shed tears after saying goodbye to patients we’ve come to know and care about. Those losses stay with us because behind every prescription is a person with a story.

But we’ve also celebrated incredible moments of hope.

This week, one of our patients successfully quit smoking through the Quit Your Way programme. Today, another walked in just to tell us they are cancer-free and don’t need any further treatment for the next year.

Those are the moments that remind us exactly why we’re here.

Every smile, every hug, every thank you, every little update you stop in to share means more to us than you’ll ever know. You don’t have to come back and tell us your good news, but when you do, it reminds us that what we do every day really does make a difference.

So thank you.

Thank you for trusting us with your health, for supporting our small independent pharmacy, and for allowing us to become part of your lives. We don’t take that privilege for granted.

Thank you if you have recommended us to friends and family, this means the world to me.

Here’s to many more conversations, many more wagging tails, and many more reasons to celebrate together.

Don’t forget your GP surgery and ourselves will be closed Easter 🐣 Monday but we will be open tomorrow Saturday 9-1pm with any healthcare advice you require or emergency supplies.

NHS 24 as always is available on 111 for anything we can’t assist with.

Back open after bank holiday on Tuesday to fully assist you. 🙌🏻 Don’t forget May bank holidays on the 4th and 25th of May. 📆

Just a quick update to let you know that we will be closed Easter Bank Holiday Monday. GP practices will also be closed Easter Friday.

We’ll reopen as normal after the bank holiday and we look forward to seeing you then!

As 2025 is drawing to an end we would like to thank all our patients who have joined us on our journey. We are incredibly proud of what we have created but without our patients it means nothing. It’s been an honour and a privilege to open our pharmacy and be able to get to know you all. We want to wish you all well for the new year and we hope it brings the best of health. We are closing tomorrow but we will be back open 9-5pm on Friday 2nd.
