📢 Important Notice – Temporary Surgery Closure (Thursday 2nd July)

We have been informed by UK Power Networks that there will be a planned power outage affecting Main Road, Parson Drove on Thursday 2nd July, from 9:00am until approximately 2:00pm.

As a result, Parson Drove Surgery will be unable to open its doors until 2:00pm.

We are currently working to minimise disruption by arranging additional afternoon appointments where possible. Patients whose appointments are affected will be contacted as soon as possible to discuss alternative arrangements.

📞 Our telephone lines will remain open and answered as normal throughout the day. However, due to the temporary closure of the surgery, we anticipate receiving a higher volume of calls than usual. We kindly ask for your patience while our team responds to enquiries.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

☀️ Stay Hydrated! ☀️

With temperatures on the rise, it's important to look after yourself and your loved ones during the warm weather.

💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty.
🌞 Avoid spending long periods in direct sunlight during the hottest part of the day (11am–3pm).
🧢 Wear light clothing and use sun protection when outdoors.
👵 Check in on elderly relatives, neighbours, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to the heat.

Signs of dehydration can include:
🔹 Feeling thirsty
🔹 Dark yellow urine
🔹 Dizziness or headaches
🔹 Feeling tired or confused

If you're feeling unwell or have concerns about the effects of the heat, please seek medical advice.
