Anima will be unavailable on Wednesday 22 July between 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm to allow for essential staff and GP training.

If you have a medical emergency during this time, please dial 999.

Please note that Anima requests cannot be completed by practice staff on behalf of patients during this period. If your request is not urgent, please submit it once the system is available again after 2:00 pm.

What is a learning disability annual health check?

An annual health check is an appointment when you meet your GP to
◾Check everything about your health
◾Help you stay healthy

You can have an annual health check if you are over 18 years old and your GP knows you have a learning disability.

Since the introduction of Anima we are pleased to have seen a positive improvement in access to GP appointments for our patients.

However, we have also noticed a significant increase in appointments that are not being attended.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer it to another patient who will need it.

By cancelling appointments you no longer need, you are helping us make the best use of our appointments and reduce waiting times for everyone.

We would like to congratulate the newly elected members of the Senedd. Our hope is that we can work together with the new Welsh Government to ensure equitable access to GPs for our patients, and find solutions to the challenges we face recruiting and retaining GPs.
